I’ve done that before just because it made sense in my mind. I forgot which figure it was, but its still on the shelf whatever it is, so it worked.

Really easy way to enhance these figures. Have you tried adding black paint to the CreateFX to make it darker?

If you add a drop of dishwashing liquid to the homemade one it won't sit on the surface as much and will push to the crevices.

More alcohol to paint I’d say, the amount of paint all depends on how dark you want the wash to be

Not sure if the same method will be good on smaller figures like Halo Mega Construx but I think the trick is using a finer tip paint brush. I could really use some black washin on really bright colored Halo Spartans to make the details pop and bring a little realism to the figures.

I tried to get the Create fx stuff for King Sphinx but all I can find says “Acrylic Wood Stain,” instead of Acrylic Wash but otherwise the bottle looks identical. I ended up ordering it online, paying twice as much as in store, and the bottle they sent me still says Acrylic wood finish. Is it basically the same stuff? Will it work the same?

It shouldn’t be wood finish, it should just say acrylic wash
