At this point in his career, PG is the third option and #1 role player on a championship contender. He's just inconsistent, mentally weak, etc. He has such an incredible skillset, but I don't know what his problem is. I'm more compelled to get DeRozan as his replacement right now. PG is a better shooter from 3, but the production is so similar between the two and DeRozan is $20,000,000 cheaper. The "idea of Paul George" is better and more intriguing than the actual hooper which is a crazy thing to say out loud. I really want the guy to succeed and help this team, but he is doing more harm than good to both his own stock and the Clippers. I'm 80% confident that he'll resign and we continue going through the motions though lmao.

A big way you can tell the top of the roster is a mess: when you hear phrases like “I don’t want to root for this guy anymore” or “he’s 34, he is what he is at this point” or “it’s a question of health” or “why is he not aggressive”…..and any of those things could describe 3 different players. Not good.

I'm sorry boys but I am out on PG, Ty Lue and Westbrook. I don't want to watch any of these three next season. I'm tired of Ty's shenanigans, I'm just fine going with a defensive minded coach with less offensive ability. I'm not watching another season of Paul George, I'm just not. Kawhi and Harden, for the bad reasons we are stuck with so we shoulf maximize around them and stop trying to be a super team.

The PG part I understand but with Russ. I don't think it matter whether he comes back or not since you guys are only paying russ like 3 mil which is nothing really... Compared to PG where you guys are paying him A LOT MOREE then russ and with the Ty lue part I think you guys can still make it work with him, you guys just need to right pieces to make it work. I mean this team post harden trade were really small and with no more wings basically.

@@jadenArmstrong750 I don't want another year of Ty Lue. Everyone goes to bat for him saying he's a top coach but I have watched this team long enough that I can predict every dumb thing he will do. Not develope young guys in the regular season, play washed players for too many minutes, go small at inopportune times, not have players ready to go on certain days.
Westbrook is just unplayable without shooters all around him. He's far too inconsistent on offense, missing lay ups taking too many shots, turnovers, we don't need that.

Sing it Adam, roast that mofo PG, he deserves it
Edit: not sure why there is no discussion of Kawhi though other than ‘he is more disappointed than anyone’ or ‘I wouldn’t be mad at him if he played for Team USA’. Ofc we would be unhappy about it. He is the elephant in the room, whether it’s his fault or not he is responsible more than anyone else for this complete shitshow of an era. He insisted on PG and was said to be pro WB also. He is the one who takes games off without notice etc to the point where Ty might want to go too. There should be some discussion of the possibility of getting off him, even if it’s not possible it should be covered. The chances of him contributing in the postseason is based on the history less than that of PG contributing. Hell, it may be less than WB contributing.

Dallas fan here. The clippers were never “the dragon” to slay. I think both previous matchups were positive for our fanbase because we gave yall a series both times while being way overmatched from a talent and experience standpoint. We had a young star and knew we just needed to get the right players around him to win. Not a matter of “if” but a matter of “when” we beat the clippers. We also went to a WCF after that. So those Clippers series with young Luka and a subpar supporting cast were already way in the rear view mirror. Maybe they still stand out to yall because it’s the peak of Clippers success 😂. Sad that the Claw was out, because I think BOTH teams were the best version of themselves in the last decade or so.
