You should look into putting a gate valve at the end of those outlets. This way, any left over waste/gray water isn't waiting for you when you remove the cap. First thing we did to our 5th wheel.
I did the same with my first trailer (a fifth wheel) and my recent new travel trailer. DO IT! You won't regret it. It could save you from a big headache.

I didn’t because there wasn’t anything too screw it into. It’s pretty sturdy and stable without it on my trailer.
What length hoses & what size tube (holder) did you have?
Curious, after removing the last hose you pt in, how did you get to the other hise to pull it out?
I was about to ask why he didn’t connect them. You just connect them before sliding the second one in.
