I still remember so well, coming home after work from my boring bank job in Australia when I was about 17, and I'd bought the Rocky Horror album after work, as soon as it was available, and was so excited to get it...and my sister and her boyfriend were there at home, so we got a couple more friends to come over, and listened to it non-stop til about midnight, drinking beer. One of my favourite nights in the 70's. I still know it word for word.
I wish this would have produced a whole genre of similar musicals.... Or did it? Does anyone know of other films or musicals that you'd place on a par with Rocky horror?
Though this film was deficted as a 'black comedy', it contains lots of truth of this real world. As the role of weird 'alien' in golden costume, Riff Raff symbolized the transgender's god, Satan/Lucifer the Fallen. Ancient gods, demi-gods, kings and saints in human history had that hair-style, Santus( Chinese/Corean people have called that hair-style 'Sang-tu' ). The term, santus and saint came from that hair-style meaning the completion of crown/rotus chakra. He also has the trident (of Poseidon) meaning the highest triad of Tree of Life(Sephiroth) ; Kether, Chochmah, Binah. But, he is not a good god but evil one having the symbol of thunderbolt in his chest and weapon meaning the fallen angels' falling.
