This song on the surface is about a home intruder and the lyrics describe the thoughts of the victim during the home invasion

I think it’s just a song about an encounter she had with a “ghost” and turned it into a song lol similar to how she wrote Guilty about a dream she had about murdering a dog. I think it’s very literal here 😅

No it’s about literal ghosts and voices she heard in the night. She once said that she heard a scream near her ear in the night
