Mister Antonis, I really love your commentary in every video and find your stories and advice so helpful; I'd never mute you. Plus, your voice is fantastic to listen to and your English is wonderful. You're very clear and eloquent-the accent is not a matter at all, actually I think it makes you more appealing to listen to. Thank you for the lovely story of your mother's blanket. My grandmother loved to cross-stitch; she stitched very detailed imitations of paintings of the old masters, like da Vinci's Last Supper which hung on the wall of our dining room. Like your mom, she did it completely for love, as she never sold her works and they simply were framed and hung on our own house's walls. Thank you for your amazing work and authentic commnication; I love that you keep no 'secrets' from us your students.
My mother crocheted a large king sized blanket for me. She used a double stitch technique to make this blanket so it is thick, her stitch work was tight and precise. It took her several months to make this multi-colored yarn blanket. She is long gone now but her blanket covers me every night when I sleep. I am 60 years old now and I have been sleeping with this blanket for over 40 years. It has not degraded a single bit and I can wash it in the washing machine on gentle cycle and dry it in the dryer. She made many embroidery and yarn products, she was always working with her crafts. Your videos and talent are very great! Thanks for sharing your immense talent!
I did watch all the way through. Thank you for these videos. I laugh when you ask if we're still awake. Your enthusiasm is contagious and I thank you for your encouragement.
I am so thankful for your slow version of this painting. It has answered many questions I have had about egg tempura. I feel as if I am in the studio with you. Thank you again.
I would like to thank you for all your genuine efforts in teaching us beginners how to follow the proper steps for creating Byzantine icons. I watch your videos repeatedly and also have enrolled for your excellent course online that I would highly recommend to everyone who wants to progress in iconography. Your teaching technique is excellent and you make everything so simple, while also encouraging us to experiment. I love spending time in my studio and am presently painting an icon for each of my 5 grandchildren, so will be busy for a long time to come. Chronia polla from Cyprus!
Master Antonis sharing your talent with people you don't know is amazing. You mentioned how your beloved mother spent so much time on embroidery just for the family . Being a mother is just about doing everything with love for the people around you. Time seems to fly away however a work of love remains forever even in the hearts of loved ones. It's the love that lives on. God filled you with talent, you are sharing it and may He reward you with even more gifts. God bless you and your family
Hi and thanks for another great video. Since you asked, I find my mental clarity, energy improves dramatically when I fast. The longest I've done is 5 days with only water, and it had a very positive result for me. We're not designed/did not evolve to eat every day. Also, since you asked, I'm a big fan of these long videos. Take care
I won't ever mute you, we learn o lot with yor chat, thanks for your videos. Keep sharing your knowledge to us. Greetings from México. Thank you thank you thank you.
"Da Vinci" just let's you know where Leonardo was from, it's not really his name... alot of people mix that up, and a big box office film like the Da Vinci Code laughably constantly calls him Da Vinci. Anyway, I don't want to be a nitpicking, but I had to mention it.
Sorry but the painting part of painting is overrated, once u learn the technique step by step its just patient and concentration. The Genius part is the drawing and illustration and those are the mérits of those artist.
@@blackwood3243everyone know "Da Vinci" means "from Vinci" but at this point, after 500 years "Da Vinci" became his name. Everyone knows it's Leonardo Da Vinci even if they hear only Da Vinci. To say the hole name it's too long and if you say only Leonardo it's too generic to know who is refered to. Don't get fixated in little details and miss the hole picture 😅
Interesting that you raised the topic of instant gratification people (artists among them) seem to have today. While parts of it may be true, I think people have always created with the idea that someone will see their creations and praise them, not necesarally in a vain way but in the way of feeling useful to the community. I think this is human nature. Artists in the past very rarely lived alone, there wiould be up to 10-12 people living in the same household and they very rarely worked for themselves (except studies) as they work were commissions. So they always worked with the notion that there will be someone in their close community or the comissioner who will see their work. Whereas today people are more lonely so we reach for platforms like instagram and facebook and the likes we get are the trace of people seeing our work, that's less that what people got in the past, even if it looks more superrficial.
Thank you so much Antonis for yet another awesome video! I would like to try this with acrylics. Do you think it is possible? How would you do it? Adding water so that the acrylic colours are used thinly?
