He is the best and he knows how important it is to honour the legacy of those who faught for decades to establish basketball in Australia - including his incredibly hard working father.
The Aussies were robbed against Spain in Rio......absolutely shafted. That loss was hard to accept because of the ref basically cheating us out of a medal. What a c**t. When we won the bronze in Tokyo, I cried with Gazey and I'm tearing up now.....what a moment.
"Time to bring back an Olympic medal . . . to hang it up at Mum and Dad's house." Never forgot where he came from. Love Patty Mills, love this moment, love Australia. This was the brightest moment in a bleak year.
Time have long passed since this. But as a Duel-Citizen Aussie-American, this was arguably the most emotional moment for me in the Olympics especially with basketball. And with both US and Australia on the podium, this was icing on the cake.
Australian basketball is constantly on the up and up but this was history and extremely special especially considering the hope, blood sweat and tears that a lot of the squad had previously gone through before this magnificent achievement. Can't wait till next world cup and Olympics.
Not gonna lie, I watched this campaign live every game and shed a few tears when they won the bronze. It was a monumental moment for us, our basketball community, and our country.
That medal meant so much to the Boomers, after being denied so cruelly in Rio I was so pleased they went one better. Plus whose to say they won’t go better than this in Paris?
patty and joe will help mattise and josh to one day lead australia to the gold thats what there going for and they showed what they are made of in the warm up games winning all of them. hopefully simmons can play in the future because then we will win gold no doubt
Thank you - the footage is from game coverage & the team’s instagram but I put this all together. Made a tik tok that went viral so I decided to make a longer version as well!
I could watch this all day, thank you! My only question, what is Luka saying to Matisse at the end of the game as he walks off? I could hazard to guess, probably still talking trash
How could anyone not love Andrew Gaze? He is the soul of Aussie basketball. Thanks for the upload!!

What a journey!

This is so special!
Great video. Thanks!
That shot of Mills and Ingles hugging is iconic.
The fact that they finally beat America is a match a few years earlier helped their confidence
I’m all in. Let’s go Boomers 💚🌼🌙🙏🏅
Love it, thanks
This was great. Where did this clip come from?

Someone send this to Ben Simmons
He'll come around. Eventually. If that Mills and Ingles embrace doesn't inspire him I don't know what will.
Just watched this and got emotional. 🥺🥲 So beautiful.👏 Can't wait for world championships soon! Thanks for the upload!
