Canada goose eagerly eating roots of pond grass

Spring is coming, yet lots of plants have not turn to green. Canada goose are eagerly searching roots of pond grass whose sterns and leaves are dry and dead. Encountered in Montreal Botanic Garden, on March 21, 2024.
