It seems to me like the VW scene has come back like it was in the 80’s maybe cause of social media? I live in Florida there are tons VW’s but you never see them on the roads only on car meets. After 30 years I got back in the game went to LA to buy me my actual 67 bug and while I was there I saw more bugs on the streets then I’ve seen here in Miami in 30 years. it’s awesome to see VW spirit it’s alive and kicking. Nothing like the sound of a deep throat bug. In the 70s during the first era of the Cal Look I had a '56 with an 1835 dual zenith 32ndix close ration trans etc. I could mop up a 289 Mustang. So much fun.

Here in Fresno it's pretty mild Vw action we're down to one shop that actually has some nice stuff and does repairs and high performance stuff. Kinda like our very own Kaddie Shack. Wow That Motor is making some serious power sounds like 9,000rpms on those burnouts on the street I can only imagine what that sounded like must have sound like drag strip and everyone heard those badass burnouts. i got a 1835 with a 110 and 40x35 heads, trying to run 44idfs with the 32venturis but i cant get the jetting right. Any tips besides switching to 40idfs? Thanks man love your car👊 one of my favorites
