The reason for creating this video was to satisfy my curiosity about how the entire song and video would appear as a single episode. I think this video definitely has a different vibe compared to watching the split episodes. However for marketing purposes, it seemed like a better idea to split the episodes and release it individually as the deadline arrived to build anticipation.
Regarding the soundtrack, the ending of Episode 1 does match the beginning of Episode 2 so the music in this video should in essence be the complete song. I tried my best to maintain the visual flow between the two episodes.
After reading some of the comments on the original Hugo Boss videos, it appears that a lot of people really liked the soundtrack and were searching for the song in its entirety or some version of it. Hopefully this attempt should satisfy that curiosity. Ultimately it would be best if Trentemoller or Hugo Boss would officially release this song as a single. I would definitely buy it!

Hugo Boss did an awesome work for this advertisement, what a great combination of models' beauty and Shanghai City's classy and hipster atmosphere
The director of this commercial is really a genius. Chinese women are one of the main customer of those good clothes and they will pay for them no matter how much the clothes cost. You can tell this point from how money-making Chanel is in China.
Knowing who is your real customer is, is the first step for business, I guess.

I noticed that the soundtrack for Episode 2 actually picks up at 1:35 of Episode 1. I used Audacity to line up the two tracks and quickly faded out the music for Episode 1. You'll notice that the volume jumps up for a split second at the merge. Maybe someone can mix a better version and upload for us? I'm no expert at any editing program so I'm sure someone out there can do justice for this great song.

Chiling Lin is one of the most attractive Chinese celebrities and she had all kinds of commercial contract when I was in undergrad. She is considered to be very hot in East Asia. Her commercials are always very powerful and convincing although people usually don't recommend her movies to friends...(XP)
This commercial is actually the most impressive commercial for clothing. I like the title "Shanghai Affair". This title is very sexy, hits the point and being realistic.
But the truth is, if you are white guy, and you want to have an affair with Chinese women, Shanghai is the best place. White guy is really the flavor of Shanghai women, this is what people said when I was in Beijing. It won't take more than 1 month for a white guy to find a woman to date there. I don't know if this is true b/c I never been to Shanghai.
Shanghai and Beijing are all very dynamic and fashion cities. You can wear Chiling's outfit in Shanghai and you won't feel weird b/c there are lots of hot girls there. The hotel in this video should be an expensive hotel. I feel like I have seen the same scene in the reality when I was in China.
After I left Beijing, I came to some other cities in other countries, I was really surprised to see, women will try to get rid of a very attractive women because they feel uncomfortable or being threatened or some other reasons. I never see this is happening in Bejing and Shanghai because there are lots of beautiful women who is looking for opportunites in these two cities. You cannot get rid of them, there are too many. Usually they came from other places of China and they are seeking for new life in Beijing and Shanghai which are highly developed than other cities. Chinese never piss off beauties.
The design of this commercial is very talented and it does market the brand HUGO BOSS which is an expensive clothing brand in Asia. They market this brand a little different in China than US. The most important thing is, this commercial is the reality, not fantasy.
