Is there any method to freeze strawberries that would retain firmness once defrosted? I want to use later for just finger snacking without adding to smoothies, yogurt or baking?
I just went out and brought me some fresh strawberries and followed your instructions, can you do a video on what you would do when it’s time to make jelly/jam! That’s what I plan to do with mine….Thanks 😊
Strawberry season is at it’s peak in May. Go to a strawberry farm the second week in May. Buy all that you are going to want the second and third week of May. After that the strawberries will still be big and beautiful but they won’t taste the same, I promise you. Next Spring I’ll post a video letting everyone know when to start buying them. Of course all this is from what I’ve learned from buying strawberries in my region which is South Carolina 👍🏼

Hey Belinda. Yes you can use these sugar packed strawberries for smoothies but if you are watching calories and sugar I’d use them unsweetened. You can flash freeze them by placing parchment paper on a cookie sheet then adding a single layer of strawberries on the parchment paper. Put them in the freezer until frozen solid. Then you just place them in a ziplock bag and you have the same thing that you buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. Fresher, sweeter and cheaper😃
I save the syrup that’s on the strawberries after I thaw them out. There’s always going to be more juice than you need so just save it and refrigerate it. Its great on pancakes and waffles. It’s not overly sweet like store bought syrup and it’s packed with the flavor of fresh strawberries. I don’t cook it😉
It’s called ZEVO Inside Flying Insect Traps. They sell them at many different stores but I buy mine at Walmart. The started trap is 19.98 and it comes with two refills. They work great!
