Alec... thank you. I am a beginning woodcarver and have spent the last couple of years having to teach myself how to carve people of color because all the tutorials for whittling people/faces for beginners are just caucasian and there's even some highly viewed videos out there saying "don't carve eyes like this or they'll look like a oriental" and "don't carve lips like this or they'll look like an Ubangi" which as a person of color who comes from a diverse community, sucks. So yeah, thank you for being one of the only prominent woodcarvers to offer help to us newbies in creative diversity in our carvings and in doing so, are making woodcarving more inclusive. Cheers!
