    Another terrific video, Stan. Many thanks! I arrive 6-8 to begin my NPS volunteer duties between Norris and Mammoth helping out at roadway animal jams, parking, etc. I'll have ample opportunities to venture here and yon. Your vids have given me some great places to hike.

      Yes, Grizzly Lake you should do, and keep going. Bighorn to the top is a good day hike also.

    On the road, I expected to see bears riding bicycles with little hard hats and flashlights, but there weren't any. Up on the bridge, I expected to see a bear in a white coat and stethoscope inquiring about your temperature. I very much loved the little bird in the lake!🦆💝

    That was beautiful. A winter wonderland in spring. I used to be into getting as far as I could on a hike. But now it’s all about savoring God’s creation and being all there. Thanks for the beautiful video!

    Yup, Looking over the ridge was so nice. I don't think I could talk my feet into it. In fact, sometimes my feet think your feet are a little crazy... but my eyes sure appreciate it!
    Thanks Stan

    I appreciate your videos. You feel like you are there with you on the hike. Also, the zooming in from the long distance views gives perspective on the landscape.

    Another terrific video. Thanks so much for taking us along with you on your hikes. I really like the maps, especially the relief map and you drawing In your route. I think your video technique is superb, and I like it when you do a pan and also zoom back out to give us a perspective of what you’re viewing (e.g., the elk herd in the meadow in what seemed about 500 yds from you). And I really appreciate the work you go to when setting up your camcorder on a tripod, then you hiking across the video scene. Very professional and very visually pleasing to us. Thanks for your wonderful work. We have to cancel our trip to Yellowstone and Tetons for this summer. So we’re already making plans for The Tetons next summer. Any chance you can do some of your super videoing in The Tetons?

    Thanks for taking us on another amazing hike. My wife and I plan on being in Yellowstone next late May or early June. I'll do some hiking but not as extensive as you do. Hope to see some of God's amazing creation. 👍🙏

    Like the different map view / seeing the contour lines of the topo map. Cool to envision the route and elevation changes and then see if that matches up with the actual hike. Thanks!

    So beautiful and peaceful! Stan, have you ever encountered a bear up close & personal? Do you carry protection, a gun? Do you ever run into other hikers? I enjoy the wildlife you show us and the views from the top of the ridges are breath-taking! I like how you show us on the map beforehand where you're at and where you're going, that is so cool! Thank you for sharing!

    Great hike Stan. You own some amazing camera equipment. Only 4 miles off 191 to the trailhead. Didn't take long for the snow to melt off this time of year. 👍

    Thanks Stan, as always very well done and much enjoyed. Assuming you are still using the same cameras as in past videos, have you changed to a different software post production editor? The video's clarity and contrast seems much better to my eye. Really nice quality.

    • @StanMills
      @StanMills  4 года назад +2

      Thank you. I am still using same stuff. Someone else said the same thing about clarity. Didn’t change anything that I know off. Maybe cleaned my lens for once. The stuff I use is in the description section of the video. Nice to hear from you.

    What were the mounds of earth at 14:12? They didn’t appear natural to me.

    • @StanMills
      @StanMills  4 года назад +1

      That is a very good observation. About 20 years ago the mountain gave way and formed the cliffs I was walking next to. The mountainside slid down to where you saw all the mounds that you are talking about. If you look closely you can see all the dead trees everywhere in the whole 2 mile area below the cliffs.

    Hey Stan, nice video! I got an early start this morning at 0530. I’m doing a 10 miler hike out at Hermitage point near 399’s territory. I just uploaded the video with the 4 cubs! Can we still meet up for a long Grizzly hike sometime when the Slough creek trail opens up? Stay safe, Gunner
