I wouldn't say it's two different worlds entirely. It's called dubstep for a reason, the proper dubstep has a nod to the dub world. In the early days of the genre and dubstep was dubstep the rastas would all smoke joints in the clubs around London... it has much more of a dub feel. Although this doesn't have the two-step pattern from garage, so yeah it's more dub.
@imBQL Ok i did a little research and i stand corrected, my bad. This has to be the first time anyone on youtube has admitted to be being wrong lol Ps the reason i assumed it was is because a friend of mine quite often drops it in his dubstep sets you see
This is some original rude boy dub boys and girls. Don't get it twisted at all!!! Dubstep was founded from beautiful dub tracks like this, but please oh please don't call this IRIE song dubstep at all!!!! That's offensive to what dub music is. BE BLESSED, BIG UP YOURSELF, ONE LOVE, RESPECT, AND JAH FEEL!!!!!!!!
this is dubstep as it has a dubstep drum beat. and dubstep does come from dub. hence the "dub" in the name. dubstep is called dubstep because it sounds like a fusion of dub and 2 step garage
I know I've asked before & drop'd the ball, but where can one get this in th US? Specifically San Diego, CA! Also how can I hear the other side, Zion Road? Somebody help me please!!
(In the Eddie Murphy voice-you don't have no ice cream) I have these songs now! Thanks to Clinton, who grew up listening to reggae in Grenada, then London. He opened my whole families eyes/conscious via Reggae music when he was my boyfriend 30+ years ago! And we consequently brought most of Skyline with us! He know's this touches me way deep on the inside!
@will1565 nah its not like that get to know that dub comes from reggae and dubstep comes from uk garage so thats 2 different worlds. its like you would call dem hoez on street santa . its so fucking hurts . i wont feel offended if you miss rock with hard rock because they came from same genre. dub and dubstep is other shit.
