This is definitely true I was recently in a accident and at first I was scared to get a lawyer because I didn't know how it all worked. But I got it because I have serious injuries and had to get surgery. I'd definitely say get a lawyer if in a crash.
Advertising or not the truth is only when we are in trouble we remember things like this and some times is to late.
We all know that the insurance company's exist to get our money.. not because they want to protect us or any body else.
Be aware that one day it may be necessary to have someone looking out for your interest.

Kenny LaRosh no. Not a penny. Because of the "lack of evidence". But at the trial, there were 3 people who saw the accident. But because of no GoPro's recording, the cop got off.
Know your rights when you get in an accident, memorise the steps to be done so that even when your concussed you have a chance or doing the right thing.
I thought I knew my shit, got hit by a car, next thing I knew I had trucks passing by my head as I spun on my back in the middle of a busy road. Not until after did I realize I hadn't been moving, I was sat by the side of the road in the hard shoulder waiting to join traffic, car that hit me had strayed off the road, poor bike got mangled, I got off lucky with a concussion and a fractured shin, and my gloves saved the backs of my hands cos the handle bar bounced off the metal plate on the gloves. Bastards who hit me knew every dirty trick in the book, they paid off witnesses, they blocked all chance of getting proper photos, they calls the cops, then called back to say no one was hurt not to bother coming out, when legally they have to come out and so does the ambulance when there's a bike involved, the only witness that was on the scene knew them and gave me a false name and number, real person, but someone who is often given instead of the real one, and that would discredit me in court. They had their car gone within 20 minutes and I was left stranded for 2 hours. My insurance believed me, but because of my lack of witnesses and their abundance of them, I couldn't take it to court without loosing. Should have just stabbed the cunt in the throat. ha

But, it's a lesson, don't let anyone talk you into what happened, and ring the cops yourself, even if your being told your in the wrong. I've had a fuck tonne of close calls, I've had to squeeze a cruiser between two cars on a bend, because one pulled out on me on purpose when I was committed to the turn, I had the choice of barrier, the oncoming car, try the squeeze, ram into the back of this prick with kids in the back, or try and get the bike on the inside, where their was petrol pumps and kids... Met cars on the wrong side of the road with no lights on in the thickest fog you can imagine, I've had an old man try run me off the road, I've had some arsehole try do a U turn in the middle of a series of bad bends. Irish drivers are fuckin awful, Irish roads are a joke. Learn from mistakes, we all make em. Keep it rubber side down.

I was a worker's comp only insurance adjuster for 10 years. All settlements had to be approved by a judge or court administrator. We gave people exactly what they were entitled to, never low balled anybody. If the court thought we didn't offer enough $, they would not approve the settlement. All the time I would see attorney commercials like that dude. All said the insurance company would rip you off, none of that was true. the attorney would get 15% of your settlement. You might just end up with less money because of that 15% the attorney got from your settlement. I don't do that kind of work anymore but thought I'd share what I learned from working as a worker's comp only insurance adjuster.

Walters was kind of a "suit", that can be strap adjusted for fit. To simply remove it, would require him to widely move his arms. Same reason they cut off his hoodie and t-shirt.

If you get hit get a lawyer as quick as possible. I got hit in 2011 the guy admitted it was his fault the police found him at fault but his insurance fought like hell and tried not to pay for anything yet i was badly injured.
When you irresponsibly make the public road a personal playground ,act like NEDs an do sketchy shit ,yes ..sooner or later you will need a lawyer. shame it's got to that point . Grow up Dunderheads..

I just ordered a gopro, mainly to show my experiences with friends. I am considering uploading it to RUclips to make it easier to share. However, I ride off-road, which isn't always legal - and who doesn't speed at times? Anyone know how this may effect my personal life? I don't want to lose job opportunities in the future because of something like this. Do I have to make an anonymous account and blur out the number plate, or will I be fine as long as I don't grow my channel?

im still recovering from a motrcycle accident that was in august, fractured 3 vertibrae and got a concussion. Im just glad the dude stopped and waited for the cops to show up. fuckin totalled my bike and missed 7 weeks of work. Since i already have a lawyer, the only thing i can recomend is good gear guys. I still broke bones but at least im not missing skin.
i was in an accident but was in a shock and could not gather any evidence at all. then got a police report a few days later saying i am at fault 100% even though I was hit by a car. the other party insurance contacted me and offered 50/50 and a little bit of money. I was lucky though to walk away without any injuries! I would recommend to always have a camera when you ride
