- What is automated trading or trading algorithm and how does it compare to manual trading forex?
I'll share more of my thoughts between automated trading vs manual trading in this video.Is it true that you should use forex trading robots just because forex robots make more money ?
Before you go out there and buy a forex trading robot software, you should learn more about automated forex trading vs manual trading. Having an expert advisor might sound good but it also has its drawback.
Before you go onto the automated forex trading journey , check out this video first. I will also share with you whether does automated trading work all the time and is automated trading profitable forever.

Concerning automated trading systems i think it will be more useful in the future as artificial intelligence will help to take real time decision, i think also that learning programming is very useful as it help to program your own EA assuming that you have a specific algorithm (hiring a programmer will be time consuming as you have to train him while you can do it by yourself). i hope that you will make a video about why you chose Singapore to do business.

Another thing on Automated trading. If you are using MT4, Ninja Trader etc, the computer that the robots are on must be ON and hooked to the internet so they can interface with your broker. Some people will run a computer from home. Some use a hosted server. Always check every day the system is up and working. If you are just using indicators, many of them have an alert function that can even push a notification to your cell phone. An example would be if you are using an indicator to watch moving average cross overs.
Yes the alerts are another helpful function

If you could reach me, can you please tell me if you could set your own proper risk management for your own robot you bought or, does it require you to close your trades manually or put stop losses and tp manually when a trade is executed by a robot?
I love using EA's! I did spend a few years learning how to trade manually, but definitely prefer the time freedom of using software. I still enjoy analyzing the charts and occasionally placing a manual trade, but easily >90% of my income comes from my EA accounts.

Hey Karen, im always skeptical about robot trading. Not sure if you heard of Signal Start app, I just downloaded it recently. Some of the EA traders are really good, giving super high returns with acceptable drawdowns. But question will be how long will it lasts? 😂 I still want to master manual trading first before exploring EAs.

Robot is beneficial in some other ways, such as in trade execution (opening & closing) trades, at some point in copying same trade to other platform. The cons is that robot is still a robot and has no capability of thinking and assessing events therefore it is weak during sudden change of sentiments or fundamentals.
Very well summarized. But with that said, future robots might be sophisticated enough to cover up these drawbacks.

Yes. Robot resulting lost alot but in other way, there are flexible and expert in ea. Its like machine needed maintenance to maintain wellness
Another thing, robot is every good at risk management. I don't why you didnt add that. You dont have to worry about lot size because the robot will choose based on your equity and the risk you are willing to take. If you go 1%, and you want 2% TP, it will do the calculation and enter a position while you are sleeping

What is the advantage for using robot ?
If the market has more than 60% will it become more deterministic with price movements.

I use my own ea so I prefer not to recommend other things that I've not used
I think i prefer doing both but depending on the timeframe , maybe manual trading for longer time frames but automated trading for shorter timeframes , also I am a porgrammer so what i need to learn is trading , then i will able to program myself , do you need a programmer karen :D maybe we can collaborate on this ?

Rat reversal strategy works great in my account as back up, i rarely lose using this strategy.

I'm a computer programmer and I think the problem with robots are they are dumb when it comes ot fundamental analysis, while in technical analysis that is easy for robots to analyze.
My challenge is greed. I built a good balance, then blow it. Robot will be best for me. I just hired a programmer today. I want him to develop an RSI based robot, in the direction of a trend
I used automated once, didn't work for me, manual is more satisfying plus I learn all the time , simply it's more fun 😊

I would certainly prefer automated, because I am not really a finance person but you see I don't have a choice because I want to retire early and investing is a must since the value of money depreciates, and I could earn more investing...I am a brand new investor I have to study charts and read report but this current health/financial crisis seem to attract every one to buy some cheap stocks in a hurry I feel like I will miss out, so if I buy with my level of understanding I will make mistakes, a robot would be helpful until I learn, even if it gives me 1% return. I like to learn the trading skill but my engineering career is more important to me, I mean Karen have you ever played chess with an AI? You will notice how smart and quick it is...I think once I learn to trade properly, I want an AI to trade for me.

The best investigator/prosecutors never ask a question they don't know the answer to. You cannot properly program a 'Bot' unless you know the answers to any question the 'Bot' will encounter. So for me learning the answers via manual trading as I'm currently doing is best. Add my 'Gut' and I feel I'll have the greatest continued success. And BTW Karen, for me this is your best video yet..Blessings!

Karen Foo yes it is the future. Maybe if I can find the programmer that can interpret my trading strategy to the software. As of now I just use scanners to find potential trades:)

i would trust a robot if i could really control how it thinks. the closer i can get the robot to trade exactly like i do....the more i can trust the robot to do what i would do.
automated trading is better by far... have you ever heard of investment banks laying off trading algorithms to replace them with humans? Trading Algorithms account for around 70% of all trading activity. I create my own algos that trade in ways that is virtually impossible for the human trader to replicate, this is a huge advantage. Online trading opened financial markets to the retail investors/ traders - this was a revolution in trading... Algorithms however has taken it to another dimension
