"Have i gone too far?" The limit does not exist lol can you realllly have too many plants? 😂
Hahahaha I love the way you reason! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Haha this is exactly what I tell my husband and now this is his answer to everyone that ask him, don't you think yall have enough? Haha priceless no boundaries when it comes to gardening 😊
Oh my goodness AMEN FRIEND I am still building my garden space and I am STILL BUYING plants every Thursday my nursery gets new plants and he ask me if there is something I am needing or looking for that he doesn’t have this year and OMG did he ask the question to THE WRONG PERSON🤭😂 I LOVE new veggie plants and tropical flowers!!! I can’t help myself!!😂🤣😂🤣 I am enjoying this channel so much!!! God Bless
Girl!!! No such thing as too many when it comes to plants!!! Everything looks absolutely beautiful!! I'm in SC too, but I am further north..so a few weeks behind you!! Love the trellis and all of your bamboo inventions!!!
I am so inspired by the beautiful things you make with found objects!! I'm keeping eyes peeled for random things on the roadsides!! 😂❤
Heyyyy!!!! I love having the extra 🤭 I love the idea of having more than enough... Prepared to share ❤️
I'm so happy to hear that you are inspired and keeping your eyes open 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Those twin obelisks that you and Thomas made are beautiful!
Thank you so much ❤️
I am from the Bayou of Louisiana but I now live in Mississippi and okra is like a high staple in our heritage. I am Native American so we eat it A LOT!! Where we from we grow Long Horn Okra they can grow long and still be very tender. We slice them and put oil in a big pot and we slow cook them down until all the slime is out and its nice and brown and we make shrimp okra gumbo with it all interested I can give more details on directions and recipe we use😊…or also cut them in half inch size pieces or smaller and batter and deep fry them or also pickled or okra tomatoes and onions…gosh so many possibilities.I feel like Forest Gump!!😂 Happy Growing
I’m from Iowa & my family always has pickled okra on hand at any family reunion. Many of my friends have never had okra before though & didn’t know what it was! When I have people try it they seem freaked out by the texture. I’ve never fried okra but that sounds delicious.
@@msierox Yes it’s very delicious. When we have any okra in different forms, the end results never will have a slimy texture we cook it out. In New Orleans or other places of Louisiana they don’t and I can’t understand why because slime is not palatable. 😊
Happy Saturday from my channel 2 yours! GOD has blessed your garden, you have an abundance of starts!!! You will be able to feed your family and store lots of food for the winter. Perhaps even extra for those in need. The Teepee trellis looks amazing too. I can’t wait to see your garden in full bloom. Peace & blessing…happy gardening everyone!!!
I also have lots of bamboo here in South Florida. To cut the bamboo you have to wear long sleeves and pants because tiny little mites come down all over you when you cut it. Then I get a shower right away.
Ahhhhh .... Tiny little mites 👀😖🫠
Hahaha it's such a great free resource for you!
When you wrap the twine around the bamboo you should wrap it around each bamboo stick once or twice to give it more support
Love the bamboo trellis. I am looking forward to seeing it with plants on it!
Hey!!! Thank you! I think it will be such a fun addition!
Thank you for showing us your handmade trellis. That's what I'm working on while waiting on my seedlings. Sis., I tie the corner of my skirts & long dresses the same when working outside with my plants. 😂 Happy gardening! 💚🍅🌽🍋🌻
Heyyyy!!! Hahaha you understand how it is haha
@@ourfreedomsong Yes I do. 😂
There is no such things as too many plants (or books, or skeins of yarn, or cups of coffee… Or anything really). Just means we get to be a bit creative in how we proceed. My husband and I moved into our house about a year ago, this is our first full season here. When we were moving in we looked at the yard and was like "this will be big enough for us" now… As we both look at all that I planted, we got doubts.
Love the DIY trellis you made, they will look amazing when things start to grow up.
YASSSS to all of these above!!! Hahaha
Congratulations on your new space! I understand how small it gets quick hahaha!! But oh the excitement of planting ALL THE THINGSSSS!!
Thank you for sharing the trellises videos. Your plants are beautiful.
Thank you!!! I'm so happy that it's helpful ❤️
Boiled okra with a little salt and pepper is so good! Slimey, but so good!
Awesome job on the trellises 😊
Thank youuuu 🫶🏾
Picketed okra is the best! And…. I need a Thomas! I could get so much done. lol
I would love to have some boo here on our 40 acres in Missouri. I know it can be very invasive, but it is also very useful. Keep the vids coming. I subscribed today.
Girl we all go too far according to family members 😅😅😅😅,but I’m still outing seeds in containers,I’m doing winter sawing methods. Going back to garden, cleaning and need plant carrots, peas. Still cold here in VT ,rain doesn’t let me finish cleaning and work on, yesterday I work in wind for 2 hr finally giving up 😢. Ya need make a lots of trellis . Like see someone crazy 🤪 in good way like me about garden and plants 😅❤ Ty.
I’ll take some of that bamboo off your hands 😂 for the deers I’ve used the fishing line method to keep out deer and it has worked to keep them from coming into my yard in the area I put it up. I can’t put it all around my whole yard though. I’m in the works of making a new fence to put around my garden so I’m going to try and use fishing line around the tops to hopefully keep deer out because my fence won’t be that tall either.
Wow! Look at the greenhouse 😊
🥰 It's so FULL
Crawling herbs like oregano or lemon thyme look lovely draped over the edges of circular beds and are so useful as food and medical and skin care uses. They are lovely hardy perennials
Thank you for this! I appreciate the suggestion!
Your twine weave trellis was my favorite last year, also. I'm growing pole beans on it this season. I have low tunnels with overwintered greens and new pea sprouts growing inside. Last night we got 6 inches of snow, 13*, the low tunnels bowed down, but did not collapse. The hardy plants were fine!
Yasssss! I'm so happy it did not collapse under that pressure of snow!!!! Ahh!! I admire those of you who garden in such cold climates! 🤩
Beautiful health looking plants congrats
Thank you so much ❤️
I love your greenhouse, it looks about perfect! Even though I am here for learning about trellises.
I use my circular bed for zucchini type squash. I stake them in the middle to keep them off the ground
Thanks for sharing. I thought I was only one that keeps backing the Green House. I have schedule to harden then move off to covered raised bed until officially planting. Plus have two areas in the house now with charts, trying organize better. Love the DIY trellis . Thought about something like this on smaller scale. Like bigger one like yours between two raised beds. Could use for beans and small melons. Thanks lot, have plenty of bamboo. Plan eventually use chicken wire to trellis some or what ever is convenient.. Have to have some fun in the garden. I have 10 fruit trees just got some more so have share the time, but love it. Take care. Happy Gardening.
😍😍😍😍 there is so much in your comment to love ❤️
I love your trellises they look awesome!
With your Dahlias, separate the 'fingers' of the rhizome. If it's warm enough you can put them direct into the soil you don't have to pre-sprout them at all. They will do just fine.
Thank you so much! I didn't separate them ! I hope they will be okay!
@@ourfreedomsong Should be ok, just try to remember to do it in the fall and then you can spread them out all over the garden :D
Beautiful garden. Looks very peaceful😊
Thank you so much 🫶🏾
Oh wow your green house is bursting with food!😍 I love the grid trellis 👍 Thanks for sharing and happy gardening!❤️
Thank you so much!!! 🫶🏾
i love your garden and your knowledge of gardening
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Love your trellis and your idea for the round raised bed, too. Mmm, okra! I'm a fan and love it fried. Bamboo is a thug and will try to take over, so I understand your sentiments. I enjoy your videos - You have a sweet spirit and your garden is wonderful!
Bamboo is a thug!!!! Ahhh yasssss! 😆😆😆
Thank you so much for your kind words 💗
Hey BEAUTIFUL LADY I love your garden it always so beautiful. I am going to try and do the grid but in a smaller scale. I have an 6 feet 3 feet raised bed with SWEET peas and I need to get them off the ground. Take care see you next time.
Heyyyy!!! Yes this sounds perfect for you!
Thanks for sharing all your great ideas! I love the trellis with the twine! I've seen people use twine before. I've started zinnias in the house, still too chilly in GA to put them outside, also they are too small, but growing like weeds! You've got TONS of tomatoes! I love it! You can do SO much with them! My whole family LOVES tomatoes, of course it's just my husband and I now, so they'll have to come get them, or I'll be learning how to can real fast! Many tomato pies to make, fingers crossed it all works out, I'm so new to this, but enjoy watching everyone's ideas, and learning all the tips! Thank you so much!❤
Heyyyy! I absolutely love a good tomato pie!! 🤤!!! And I'm so excited about all of your zinnia's!! That is going to be so incredible and so much beauty to your gardening space!
Hey! Tomato pies are the best!! Thank you so much! Praying it all works out! I'm ready to get them outside! Hope you have a good day!❤
I love the twin trellises and watched your video on making it. They are beautiful and I was wondering if adding the same string method to it would make it even more functional.
Adding some string would definitely be a cool addition!!! Especially at the bottom for when plants are just starting out!
Young is best for okra. We like it best rolled in corn meal and fried crispy!
Looking good luv
🥰🥰🥰 Thank you! I'm excited
Just a idea drill holes ever so often like 6 inches apart lay it next to all your plant rows or in the bed u can fix the ends ( block them ) put a hose in one end and let it run how ever long u need and bam irrigation lol i use it and pvc just an idea.
Thank you for sharing ❤️
I pick it when it's 2:00 to 3 in long boil it and put butter on it and it's very slimy but oh my God it's so delicious
Do you saute it in butter? Or slather the butter on it raw?
Excellent 🎉🎉🎉 I subscribed to your channel and gave a like 👍
Hi!!!! WELCOME! Im so happy you are here !! 🥰🥰🥰
@@ourfreedomsong Thank you 😁 Happy to be here 🙏
You're right about okra it grows fast. Okra is great raw & young and has no sliminess
I'm definitely going to try it young! Do you eat it raw or cook yours?
@@ourfreedomsong both. I eat them raw as a healthy snack. I cook them in my collard greens. Perfect combination. If I was good at frying food I would fry them but it's too messy. I know my wife doesn't want to fry them so I don't even ask. Happy wife...
Hey there beautiful. Did you ever think you would fill up your greenhouse. Them babies are looking amazing 🤩. Love the teepee ⛺️. This season is about to be awesome. Happy growing ❤😊
Heyyyy! Oh my goodness, I didn't imagine it haha... It's like the perfect jungle! The season is upon us! Aren't you super excited?! Are you planting anything different this year?
@@ourfreedomsong I didn’t get to have a spring or summer garden last year so I’m planting all the things 🤣. I have a new garden space that I’m currently organizing getting ready for April.
❤❤❤
❤️
Hi see that your grow bags are still hanging on, I think mine are too big so I kept them on the ground was scary lol ❤❤
Yes they are!!! I think they are nice and secure! And yeah it's possible! I have some that are much wider and I don't think they would do well hanging! I'm thinking about planting dwarf tomatoes in some 🤭
Love 💖 your channel. New Subscriber
Hi !!!! WELCOME 🤩 I'm so happy you are here ❤️
YOU ARE DOING A BEAUTIFUL JOB #NOT A DAY WITHOUT JESUS 🙏
Not one single day! 🙌🏾

make use of those dried bamboo lewves. thry are a great place to propagae mushrooms. just make sure they are wet
Really?! Very cool!
❤
❤️
I eat early okra raw! Your plants are so exciting.
I'm going to try it!!! Early and raw! Ah! Thank you 🫶🏾
So what are you using taquisha to fertilize your seedlings? They look amazing!
Hi!!! Thank you! I've used diluted fish fertilizer a couple times!
Nice, if you watch other content creators, @The Bulls Garden built an awesome trellis as well that you might like. TFS
Thank you ❤️
The pine needle straw could be damaging your soil. Too much is not good.
What bamboo variety is that?
I don't actually know!
Where can I get this bamboo 😢😢😢😢😢
Meanwhile we got 5in of snow today in my area of Michigan 😢
Ahhhhh
Spring is coming! Hold on a lil while longer!
💙👍🏽

There's no such thing as planting too much food, too many people that prefer fresh homegrown food but that's a trusted source I think you should maximize on that idea start with your Compton watches who will be more than likely. Me myself I would love a reliable source for herbs and how to do it myself.
No such thing 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 YASSSS! I hear that! 🤩
Only eat okra young. Once it gets woody it’s not edible
That's what I'm hearing! I'm actually looking forward to trying it again this year!
