  • As the national cleanup campaign continues to reduce the volume of volcano ash across Barbados, a team from the Ministry of Transport, Works and Maintenance was deployed along Fontabelle, St Michael, on Wednesday.
The campaign is being coordinated via this ministry and is headed by Minister Dr William Duguid.
Some of the team were on foot piling and scraping up the ash, while others operated the heavy machinery to rid the streets of the tiny particles which have become a nuisance and pose a challenge while driving. You better mix that ash with cement and fix all those pot hole's while you have the chance. It's a real blessing that will also fertilise the soil throughout the country.
