Always love seeing the btmb’s getting together to talk movies
I will happily stand on the ground of saying that Monkey Man is one of the best directorial debuts in history. Yes, it’s not a perfect movie and I recognize that. It’s got some unfocused parts narratively, certain characters get forgotten about for a good chunk of time and some of the action was a bit too shaky at times. Other than that, it is a thoroughly impressive debut, especially from the standpoint of knowing that Dev put everything into this movie through passion hard work.
Lights Camera Barstool GOATED
Owen mentioning John Cassavetes. Did not expect that lol
Monkey man was one of the least original directorial debuts I’d ever seen, my disappointment was immeasurable
Love them keeping the pod going, but can someone tell Owen to stop touching the mic stand.
Tell this guy to stop playing with his cup right next to the mic
Love Edgar Wright but such a random pick for remaking Running Man. He's going to make it completely different. Also, Alan Ritchson would've been a better pick. But considering Wright and Powell, I'm guessing they're going to lean more into action/comedy.
Also, Gooch, I think naming the Ronin turtle is a spoiler. Pretty sure it's kept a secret for a while in the comic.
I don’t think a rated r animated movie would appeal to a wide enough demographic. Most of the adults I tell to watch Invincible, who I know would like it, laugh at me because it’s animated.
Baby driver is one of my favorite movies ever. Everytime I rewatch it I pick up on more and more of the musical ques. Edgar Wright is the best
Steve Jobs was Danny Boyle, boys! And a banger of a movie!
Cast the brute with the mustache from Monkey Man as live action Omni Man
Love the Owen addition. Make The Long Take weekly with this trio!
Good stuff boys, couldn’t catch it live but I love these
Gooch forgot Jordan Peele already won an Oscar
Thank you for doing this an episode in this format.
robert redford, and warren battey just for reds.

Left hanging hard
Love these, and I don’t not like Owen but he presents as a guy that knows a lot and doesn’t know anything
