@@aileensvintageworldIt was originaly going to be more accurate but the movie high ups told them to cut stuff because it was way to much violent and sexualy ofensive, the movie was going to be 1h and 43 minutes long but got cuted to 1h and 20 minutes.
@@ALIENWORLD i just finished listening to it on yt here from a channel called... ah... Ghost Stories or Ghost Classics or something? Great narration. I'm... i'm a bit lukewarm on the story itself though. Did you finish? What did you think?
I'm reminded of a German line from Bram Stoker's Dracula: "Denn die Todten reiten Schnell," which translates to "for the dead travel fast." (from the German poem Lenore by Gottfried August Bürger). The word "reiten" means "to ride," evoking spectral riders moving swiftly through the night. In the poem, Lenore is taken on a nocturnal ride by her dead fiancé, who is later revealed to be Death, carrying her to her grave for her sin of blasphemy. It underscores the supernatural speed and unyielding inevitability of death (a theme that resonates in Dracula). Despite his centuries-long existence, Dracula cannot escape the inevitability of death. The German phrase "die Todten" (the dead) has an archaic, weighty tone that can't really be captured in English. While the original poem ties the sin of blasphemy to Lenore’s fate, this motif is beautifully echoed in the Dracula movie. I could go on about this but I already wrote too much. 😭 Side note: The novel leaves more to the imagination, painting Dracula as a figure who has acquired his dark powers through mysterious means, but not necessarily as a consequence of renouncing God in a specific moment. Just thinking about this makes me :') because Francis Ford Coppola clearly read the book and understood the assignment!
Oh gosh, do you have this on Spotify? I recently learned that another channel (Elemental SoundWorks) has theirs on streaming and I would love to add some of these songs if possible. I hear it uses some of the Dracula soundtrack in the back so it might be copyrighted - but if not, please consider adding it to streaming. Also, they should make soundtracks like this!! It's really unique and fits the atmosphere well!
Please consider doing the inside of the castle? The echoes, the voices, the snarls...
"Listen to them! The children of the night! What sweet music they make"

I know the movie is very different from the book, but I can’t seem to get it out of my mind. It’s like it holds a part of me now.
I think the 1992 one is the most accurate to the source than any other,of course they did change some things a little but it's still very very similar

A unique case where film is better than the book.
I actually love everything they did with the movie. After so many years it's still my absolute favorite ❤️

I like it, but I can't appreciate the music, the sound of the storm is too loud, would you consider fixing it?
You are right. The storm is bit too loud.

"Welcome to my house. Come freely. Go safely; and leave something of the happiness you bring."
I do like that they changed House to Home in the movie and the way Gary Oldman delivers that line! He was perfect casting!
