I met Raul after a Concert at the Nashville Symphony Hall in 2018. After the gig my wife and I went down to the stage Raul had stayed out to meet the fans. He took one look at everyone, about a dozen or so, and he said I’ll come down to you. Cue lots of selfies etc. I asked him his recording of ‘Here Comes My Baby’ and which version had influenced him The Tremeloes or Cat Steven’s original. He said it was The Tremeloes. A lovely guy just so happy to meet and oblige fans. A memory to take back to the UK that has always stayed with us. I will be playing a tribute on my radio show next week.
