This song hit different than most. My birthday has been a horror for me for 30 years until this year. To finally feel that change, that relief to find comfort in a day that was ruined for you is a magical change. I'm so glad you have people in your life to change how gou see that day.

This video was so gorgeous. It made me cry. The metaphors and symbols between each scene. She suffered from trauma, c-ptsd, depression, and anxiety, and she felt her birthday was ruined forever because of that event. But she’s doing better now, and this song shows the struggle she had been through and she is still going through, but she is doing much better without this person and with people who actually care for her; like her partner at the end

this video gave me goosebumps! this probably sounds weird but the parts where you are being dragged down again and again, drowned and alone in darkness really really remind me of a relationship with an abusive partner i had - the feeling has always been hard to put into words but the dark imagery in these parts of your video encapsulates it perfectly.
(except instead of drew smiling at the end of my table it would be my eleven year old daughter!)

Just watched and cried so hard. I turned 24 this year and I’ve had a really hard time and I’ve gone through a loss of best friends because they just didn’t wanna have me in their life anymore and I felt so used and so depressed after. That was a while ago and your music has made me realize that I have not completely healed from it and you’ve helped me realize that there is hope for healing that part of me that was broken so thank you and I hope my 25th birthday brings me more joy and love.
