Tips will always have somewhat of a small curve to them simply because our nail beds aren't completely flat, and also they wouldn't have much strength to them if they were completely flat. Any rhinestone with that “iridescent flash” is called “AB”. So they would be “clear AB” or “blue AB”, any colour stone can have it or not. If I remember correctly, its a kind of coating through the stone that gives it that AB look and it stands for aurora borealis. And the swatch sticks, someone said to paint the tops but dont, it’s better to paint the underside and not have to top coat, the swatch stick will act as top coat. I mean, why waste top coat if you don’t have to.

I used to think so too. I swatched all of mine on the top. After seeing so many swatch underneath it makes more sense to me. It prevents the color from chipping off also it gives you a sense of what it would look like with a top coat. I actually prefer to swatch under now
You can do both. If you swatch it on top, you can see what it looks like with either a matte or glossy top coats. If you swatch it on the bottom, you can already tell what it looks like with the glossy top coat
Or, you can paint the underside of the swatch stick, and then add a matte topcoat ontop of that, and you'll have the one gel color represented in both glossy topcoat (on the front of the swatch) and matte topcoat (on the back). This protects the gel even more than if you painted it ontop of the swatch, where it will bump into things and become scratched and dulled. It also helps to file the swatch stick lightly so the gel will adhere to it well. Otherwise it will peel off and chip over time.

As a nail tech those are def no c curve. All tips have to have some curve because that is the shape of our nails. But those are flat af lol
