There's nearly a 100km difference in claimed range and actual range of the Tiago EV. Does that bother you? Comment below!
No it doesn't.
No. It is expected.
I bought this car a month back and have 1000 Kms on it.
It gives me a range of 250 Kms without AC and 225 Kms with it in regular city driving , roughly 8 kms on a single unit of energy and thus running cost of Rs 1 per kilometre.
@@patangaha Does mileage make difference with family travel with 4-5 people with luggage? How much mileage we will get ok avg.pls
@@kvsr6984 roughly a 10 kms fall in mileage every 100 kg additional weight.
Amazed to see my name/question Thanks for your answer informative @carwale you made my day
Hi, Dinesh. We had to include your question. It made complete sense so thank YOU. :)
Glad to know we answered your query. Questions and suggestions are always welcome!
Nice
Thanks for the shoutout and addressing my question Sagar.
Thanks lot . Very practical and unbiased and fair review . Thanks for sharing the experience . Most people always find negatives in each new product and are always cynical and pessimistic . So we need to ignore such people who still love Petrol/Diesel and crying about Petrol price hike is a key job of their life . Most people travel 40 km per day or 70 km per day and ask for 700 km range. Very very very few comments start with a Thanks so it shows public attitude , Still EV will grow as honest and wise people will choose it and we will get clean air and no dependency on foreign country and we will produce Power from Solar and Power will be very cheap and we are seeing Charging station will be like Paan walas in every 5 KM in India . So salute all EV owners and thanks for every person who created this video .
@CarWale Tata increased the price of LR varients with another 5k, does this price increase includes any changes to the features or exterior?
Hello sir
My daily travel is 180 km confused between which car to buy ev/diesel/ cng ? Confused about maintenance too ?
Im interested in tiagoev and celerio cng . Please guide me.
what range and speed it can give with a highest load capacity?
Very informative....really impressed...
Thank you :)
Hello i am driving 60 kms a day with 15 kms on very bad /no roads ( so bad that even the service personnel is in awe that my Honda Citys entire shocks/suspensions, and steering column needs replacement twice in 1.8 lakh kms). How good is Tiago ev handling bad roads.
Citroen EC3 real life range test coming soon ? When are you planning to do it sir
From what I have heard from various legit reviewers, ev owners like Tiago(24kw battery) & Tigor(26kw battery)
If you are a rough driver, or someone who uses this car on highway with 90+ km/h speed, expect range from 140-160 or roughly around180 if we strech it.
If you are a driver who uses car in city using accelerator pedal very lightly and with regen mode expect range to go up like from 195-220 or even more.
Usage of AC can reduce range from 25-30 kms from a full battery backup.
In simple words, use this car for local purposes or within a radius of 150-200kms.
If you plan to go out of city for a trip, just hire a cab or rent a ICE car for that purpose.
Best thing about EV is its running cost. 1kw = 1 Unit of Electricity. So to charge a 24kw battery tiago, you would consume 24 Units. Cost of 1 unit of electricity varies from state to state. Here in Maharashtra its around 9rs. So to charge the car you would pay around 216Rupees.
What about battery replacement costs?
How to find that whether ur tata tiago ev is long range or medium range
Really this video helped me to go ahead booking in April month
Congratulations! We are glad :)
Hi bro my new tiag xz+LR getting 160km only what I can do
Is it good for daily running 170-180 k.m. on highway
Nice review
Good review
it does not have spare wheel, how one can deal with this problem
I am not sure why in some of the videos reviewers are saying that one pedal drive is not possible. I just got my tiago ev car top variant and i am able to do a one pedal drive easily in city. By the way very informative video.
What is the avg range you are getting with all time AC on? My city and my native place are 225kms apart. It is an expressway. I drive twice every month now in my alto k10. It is time sell it. If Tiago ev can do this without break,I will buy it. Apart from this I drive avg 35 kms every weekday and apprx 70 kms on weekends.
@@apachev90You would have to charge your EV once at least in one way journey which will cost you an hour but that’s about it. Also for your daily use, EV is perfect.
Good video.
The real world range is around 160 Km +/- PERIOD. Consider it as City RunAbout.
I own Tiago EV LR, however not able to correlate between the battery percentage and Range shown in car dashboard. At 100% battery it shows range of 230 (w/o AC) but at 52% it shows 96 kms (w/o AC)... Should we consider battery percentage OR range while driving??
We would rely on the range figure shown rather than the battery percentage
i think it's all about running of car if u use car daily more than 100 Km can use electric otherwise cng or petrol
Good video
What about MG Air EV ?
When it's launching in India ?
& @ what price ? & Ranje ?
Hi. There is no news around Air EV yet.
Nice video
If we charge at home XT LR TIYAGO then how much kilowatts supply is required at home, please answer
You don't have to change your power supply to use Tata's wall chargers
Very nice 👌👍
Second hand electric car purchase krne ke time par kya kya dekhna important hai ?? Uska upor video banaiye
Thank you for the idea. We will work on it
Hi. Thanks for the informative video. We are proud owners of tiago.ev for 2 weeks now. When i charged it first time, it showed only 200kms charge after 100%. I am confused. Does this increase or decrease after each recharge?
The trip computer will calculate the range depending on how the car was driven in the past. It may increase if you drive sedately, the traffic condition and terrain.
What's the range for three different modes. They would be different and how much it is. Appreciate if there is a response to this....
Hi, Harry. There are only two modes - D and S. We did the range test in D and got 214kms. In S I would guess it would be around 160.
I got my answer, I think 160 range is enough in sports mode 🙂 because people are not going to drive it in s mode all d time
Bhai cardekho aur carwale app me konsa better hai
CarWale ka, of course
Sir, i have got a new Tiago EV XZ+. The problem is that with full charge it shows a range of 150 to 160 km. Why would that be?
Hi, Milind. So the indicated range is calculated on your usage pattern during the prevoius charging cycle. Do you mind sharing your usage pattern? Do you do lot of highway driving? Also, is it usually with 3-4 people?
My brother got Tiago EV this week and his car also shows 140 to 150 only. We have been driving it on S mode like crazy for the past few days though 😅
It will initially show wrong but as you keep on running it will came back to normal ..after 1-2 charge cycles it should show properly
@@sagar1323 Thanks for insight. Let me say this that the day i took delivery in the dealer showroom . Battery showed full 100% and range 160 km!
@@0018ableful Yes you are right, it shows differently but it does not improve our anything. I got 160, 169, 180, 220 , 170, 182
How much is the real world range of Tiago EV low range version (base variant)?🙄
Bro I got delivery last week..It is giving 160-180 ac less traffic average speed 45
@@akhilmudliar2973 Planning to buy tiago EV mid range. How much mileage can I expect in city with moderate traffic with AC on ?
Good analysis brother...
What is the cost of battery... brother
Why tiago is less while compare with nexon...
Explain in another video...tq
How about 19 Kw Tiago
Is the range test done in sports mode??
No
In 80km speed in highway how much range it will give sir
Hi. EVs, especially budget EVs, aren't extremely efficient at such highway speeds. I'd guess the range will be around 170-190.
Bhai claimed was 315 with ac. Getting 190 km. I don't have much mazza here
Can be considered stand by 2 nd car at home one petrol and this can be city EV car
What’s views
You're bang on. It makes a lot of sense if you already have a primary petrol/diesel car in the house.
Unlike citroen ec3, tiago ev dont have reverse camera or sensor adding option.
Hi, Gopal. There is a reverse camera in Tiago EV. No parking sensors though.
User feed back ..Is even below 200 bro ..170 and 180 ..Range ...
Would like to see a hill test, driving in plain flat roads is not a real test by any measures.
That's something we will definitely cover in the next EV range test. Thank you :)
Is Tata Tiago ev the cheapest car in the Indian market.
@CarWale : How the iTPMS warning is shown, when there is air leak or puncher.
As soon as the tyre pressure is lower than a specified limit
Mg comet 200range see and 185to test drive...🎉
Tata motors sale will increase with launch of Rs 25 lakh "Sierra ev"
Can't expect higher numbers from expensive cars
213km one person? 5person?
We conduct all our mileage/range tests with one person on board
हिंदी में video होता तो देखने मे ज्यादा अच्छा लगता...
We make videos in Hindi/Hinglish too. Check out our video on the Tiago EV here - ruclips.net/video/m8wW2_c0P4E/видео.html
Why we are thinking of EVs only? Why not hydrogen cars?
The industry in India has just started exploring the idea of hydrogen-powered cars. Will take some time for the technology to mature
It’s a scam to claim range that never can be achieved.
Unfortunately that's how the market is :(
Claimed figures are not a scam. But they legitimately help compare cars. They have to be taken with a pinch of salt though, that's why we conduct real-world tests
@@CarWale well then they should release 2 ranges, one which is actually achivable. I will provide more inputs after getting my tiago ev long range delivery next week.
I have tested it and range is between 200-250 for 315km long range version. It's very smooth and easy to drive.
Even petrol vehicles are also as it is...
Because condition s applied...
Hahaha
Ford aspire diesel titanium 2017 (2nd owner) 55k km driven- 3.70lakh. it has 2 airbags
or
Maruti suzuki Baleno RS 2017 60k km driven- 4.80lakh
Which is better deal?
Ford Aspire at 3.5Ls
Hi. Two very different cars. One is an economy focused diesel and the other is a performance focused petrol. What are the things that you're looking for?
Take baleno. U ll have peace of mind, if u wanna keep it long term.
Provided - Both engines are BS4, so if there is any engine repair work involved, getting spares for Maruti will be much easier rather than ford which has shut operations.
Second thing, cost of spares will be much less in Maruti.
Diesel vs Petrol can be factor here, but thee is not much diff in both fuel prices. You should get around 14-18 KMPL with Baleno, where as Aspire should be around 20-22 KMPL (if its well maintained)
Citreon ec3 better than this anyday
😁😁😁
Bought Ola S1Pro and giving a good mileage of 120+ and costs 1,50,000 on road 😂
Easy to park and easy to zoom
Are you comparing a car and a scooter?
@@CarWale haan bhai: when the RUclips reviewers compare Apple to Android, for instance, why can we compare scooters to cars 😂😂😂.
Jokes apart, I am planning to buy Comet EV. But do you think I should wait for the response from Maruti? They are yet to open an EV account.
