    Hi.. variable "d" is height of the arrester in meter.. In the sub-circuit model, it is used as d=0.56 . In which unit was it used? km ?

    Hello friend, I have one question, I hope you could solve this question mark. Why does in minute 2:55, you show a electrical diagram with the CVT before the surge arresters..?? I think that If I put the CVTs first than the SA, the CVTs could sense the entire lightning stroke..!! isn't it..?? I hope you could solve this question..!!

      The location of the CVT is entirely up to the station designer, perhaps at this case, they are at the bus entrance.The SA might be put in different places (some in cascade configuration even, observe at minute 1:38:24 ), but they exist specially to protect the TRX. Then, the SA are usually close to the TRX, observe that he includes the inductance between the SA and the TRX, that value is of importance for the insulation coordination of the TRX.

      u[2]=1/R0. Admittance vs resistance
