Happy that the courts are going to be bigger. The thing that made me happy to see in the trailer was that they finally fix Jamal Murray. I'm most likely will preorder so I can play 2 days early.

I’m not a fan of animation based basketball but if you’re gonna do it - go all in. Minimize the bad animations like the long pass out of bounds stumble and go IN on the good ones. Who cares about Ja Morant passing style?! Give us Steve Nash, Jason Kidd. Isiah Thomas dribble style. Jamal Murray?! Come one man. AND give us a MyCareer respec option NOW
I just need them to add Embiid's mid-range game. His pull up jumper is completely different from his set shot three pointer. But I used to love using the shot stick until a couple years ago so if they can make this work I'll be happy. It feels much better than using the button.
About the 9,000 new animations I’m hoping for some historic players animations as well like D Wade layup for example or Jamal Crawford layup no reason why those not in the game 😭
There's the off chance that historic players get some mo cap (Jason Williams for example has an extensive animation package) but this is one area I wouldn't really get my hopes up on since it will be difficult.

The hang time and grace on the lay ups don’t represent him that well and he’s arguably the goat. I feel like his lay ups in nba 2k11 looked smoother in a way.
I feel like this RUclips clip shows Jordan’s layup package on 2k11 and it was better than what we have now. I just hope 2k25 is gonna have layups that rival or surpass this.

At this point it's pretty clear 2k is going to overpromise and under deliver. They've been doing it for the better part of a decade now. I'm not buying the hype. But hopefully CFB25 shows EA and 2k you will make more money if you try to design a good game instead of focusing on the best ways to bilk consumers for every dollar because I really do miss when 2k was good. The focus on ProPlay is a double edged sword. On one hand it's great they are getting this level of accuracy with current players, but it creates an imbalance in every mode that makes everything except Play Now less fun. Everyone in MyPlayer and MyTeam is going to use same 10 animations anyway so whether it's 9000 or 10 million doesn't matter if they aren't perfectly balanced. The AI sucks at creating prospects in MyNBA so that's not fun. And it just makes MyEras feel second rate since only a few dozen older players have accurate animations. (By my count about 90% of animations are inaccurate for retired players, ranging from a little off to questioning if the devs even bothered to watch the player or just randomly assigned animations.)

I agree with this! Some of the Jordan animations could definitely use a bit more work to tune, even Kobe's layups don't feel quite like Kobe.
