My beat mate, Jody Porter of Fountains of Wayne, was living in London, and had a Mini in the early 90s. You could see the street through floor boards, but it was a firecracker of a car!

Watched the video before I brought over my mini from Japan… I like this car a lot no problem with mixing things up I too have Mk mustache and overs on a 1996…. Only thing I have any real issue is dual gas cap but not seeing the second tank… again this car still makes me happy

RAF roundel? That's Colorado state flag. Maybe I'm looking at different car, lol. I do like the Union Jack on some.
@@robertmorey4104 Not the Colorado flag on top. The Left side wing window near the very rear of the vehicle is an RAF Roundel, Royal Aircraft identifier, a circle with a blue ring, white ring and red center . . . that is a common Mini thing.

There's a guy in Australia who has a Mini with a B series Honda engine stuffed in it.
Did they make left hand drive for any markets? Or are they converted? I love the car but I’d have to swap in some vtec and left hand drive
The original Mini was designed as a "world car" with all the instrumentation in a single binnacle in the middle of the dash so it could be sold in the US and continental Europe where cars are LHD (left-hand drive). There were two different steering racks (you can't just flip it over) and some in-cockpit linkages for the brakes that would facilitate the swap from RHD to LHD. Also, the British factories would ship "Completely Knocked Down Kits" to places like Belgium for local assembly as RHD (that's what mine is).
