Hi! I love your videos. Please when is it best to send an invoice and/or receive payments? Can a stylist demand full payment (both wardrobe budget and stylist's rate) before starting any work on the project? What if it's a new client and trust hasn't been built?

Hi Vera! Great questions! You will always receive the wardrobe budget in-full at the before starting any work, because you’ll need that to buy the clothes. Regarding your actual compensation: yes, you can request a full payment before you begin working for a client, but it depends on the client. (In the US) For larger companies you are usually paid on a “net 30” basis, which means you don’t get paid for the job until 30 days after the job has ended. For smaller businesses/clients you can charge a deposit (I usually do 50% of the total) and then charge the remainder on the last day of the job/project.
