Bonebreak is definitely the way to go for survival, so much easier to kill prey with it, however I still think facetank is better with a fight that your opponents can't run from.
@@dtbrex08 I don't play it too often so im happy I got approval from a main. my main problem is how slow it is even carchar and giga can run a bars down til it dies but rex is too slow to even catch up to a camara (or atleast outturn it while running)

I can see giga and carch being faster than a rex lol, I think rex and bars are base speed though. Makes sense imo that rex is pretty slow though due to how strong it is. And again this is only counting mod speeds too lol, rex on non-modded servers is the highest speed of any apex I think unless I’m wrong and bars or duck is faster but from my experience I don’t think they are.
@@dtbrex08 Camara's main weakness is it's tail attack, you can tailride it to death with PT Rex and DB Giga, it is incredibly wimpy and you just have to get behind it. And bars is faster than rex I know that because even the stat sheets say that and I know it from personal experience. But another problem it it's stam regen(which dosen't matter in most fights since you just stand your ground) but when you have to play more offensively that's where it's main problem is. Imo is should be more accurate and have rex be slow, but have great endurance because bars and other apexes can outrun a rex.
Yeah I know it's so annoying, it didn't seem like I should have got stuck. And yes Bars are almost impossible to kill unless they are weak, young, or your in a group or they just suck. And very true rex stam dosen't mean that much normally but when you have to play offensively it sucks, its crazy how a bars is not only faster, but also has more stam.
But now this begs the question, would Bone Snap or Crushing Bite be better? Additionally if anyone wants to use bone break on this rex, please use the "sanguis" subspecies. It'll give you +10% more bone break
Crushing bite easily because bone snap takes so much stam, is so obvious, and is hard to hit because 90% of things will be able to run away from it. And yes I did forget to change the subspecies because I use facetank normally since this is a deathmatch server.
@@Kurotitan7125 your welcome, I would ONLY reccomend using Bone Snap on a sauropod... but at the same time og rex is probably the worst carnivore to fight a large sauropod(other than spino that's just a clown show) as it is slow, and has no bleed. And it might waste a lot of stam which could allow the sauropod to retreat. Even PT Rex is better because of ambush, charged bite, and higher running speed I killed a camara during my best vs worst PT Rex build and had decently high healtj.
As a rex there are alot of fights where you would be much better off mostly using your normal bites, but if you want bone break then Bone snap is better in almost every situation where you would want someone to be bonebroken for more than a few seconds. Crushing bite effectively has a 3 second cooldown (5 from the moment you press the button and 3 from when the bite comes out)and lasts for 10 seconds total, and uses 15 stamina. Bone snap lasts for 13 seconds if it is charged up for about 1.5 seconds, and it lasts for 30 seconds if charged for 5 seconds, with an affective 2 second cooldown and uses 20 stamina. This makes bone snap very effective against large targets that need to be immobilized for an extended period of time or have bonebreak resistance (eg: acro, giga, bars.) It is also great in group fights where either you’re outnumbered or want to support your teammates as it can often be landed on players that aren’t paying attention or that get to greedy, and you choose both when it starts and when it comes out unlike crushing bite. It should also be noted that crushing bite starts at an odd upward angle with a slow downward swing which can make it hit tails and take longer to reach small targets, whereas bonesnap will go straight forward so long as you arent standing completely still with a full charge. In summary, crushing bite can be a little easier to land in some instances, but you will most often have to land at least 2 on anything bigger than a dasp to be able to kill it, not only making you use a massive amount of stamina but also leaving your enemy with a free 6-8 seconds where they can wail on you freely aside from your stomp which will get you killed in an apex fight against a player tht isnt braindead, and most group fights. Bone snap on the other hand gives you less downtime with significantly more bonebreak and in practice will usually require less stamina since you only need to land one on most enemies or a small one followed by running out and back in with a big one on the largest of prey. 2 crushing bites will net you 14 seconds of bonebreak with 8 seconds of downtime, one minimal charged bone snap will do the same but with only about 2 seconds of downtime and less stamina use, to me the choice is clear.
@@Giga-Melon I think your only looking at the stats and not the fact it is a charged bite.The problem is you have to charge it up and it is so obvious and loud that most things can just run away and with sanguis you can increase the bb(your opponents have to not know to run away from a CHARGED bite in order to land it). And the stam drain is massive which is bad because you already can't run down anything anyways. Literally almost every apex can outrun a rex which means your never gonna land a charged bite unless they are actually oblivious. And your also not gonna kill many large targets as rex since most large sauropods and other herbivores will kill you in a fight BBen or not. Rex is probably the second worst choice for big game hunting after spino,
