- In this video I show you how easy it is to use gilding flakes on vellum in card making with your stamps. I’m using products from IndigoBlu and Alina Crafts but there are many brands of gilding flakes out there and I’m sure you all have a flower stamp in your stash to give it a go!

I love gilding flakes and have many different colored mixtures but I have never once thought to use them on vellum (duh!). This is so pretty. What a great idea! TFS!

LOVE it! I love vellum, and don’t use if nearly often enough! This is quite an inspiration. I’ve got gilding flakes somewhere around here! Need to get them out! TFS!

Thanks for the great tips! Flipping the vellum over to attach to card panel is great & then thin catdstock straps to hold down, smart!

Where did you get the strips? The card is beautiful! I've already ordered the stamp to hopefully copy this lovely concept.

But if you want to ensure even strips there are dies available. I was wondering about cleaning the glue off the stamp ... would the tombow green glue work here? This is an awesome technique, thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment ☺️ with the stamp it should be washed straight away really with warm water and some mild soap. If you can't wash it straight away then spray it with water to stop the glue drying and then wash it when you can. As for glue, you need a glue that stays tacky when dry I e. Cosmic Shimmer flake and glitter glue, I don't believe the tombow is a tacky when dry glue. I hope that helps! ☺️

Thanks so much for watching Susan! Yes you need to wait a minute or so just for the glue to set otherwise it slides all over the vellum. You can get away with adding the flakes straight away on card but I found on vellum you just need to wait a minute. Especially if the glue looks a bit thick when you apply it. I hope that helps!
