Loving your reactions to the Avantasia stuff. Best thing with this band is they never get stale. With so many singers in the Avantasia family, the songs are quite diverse. Farewell will take you somewhere completely different. If I remember right, their first album The Metal Opera came out in 2000. I've been lucky enough to see them live. Unbelievable show. Came on stage at 7pm and finished at 10:15.
Yeah man, Avantasia has been a life saver in my personal life. Ghostlights came out a few months before my dad died. Helped me get through a rough year.
Appreciate you made this one work given RUclips's picky restrictions. My playlist is about 400+ songs of epic stuff from the Europe/Scandinavia area. Its a struggle deciding which ones to send through, plus I try limit the requests so others can get theirs in.
A great reaction! You do know that they are a super-group of epic proportions! Tobias gets some of the best singers and musicians for his work! He even had Alice Cooper do a song called "The toy master", which is great by the way, too. You definitely need to watch "Moonglow" with Candice Night. They do epics and great rock singles, too.

My journey with non american rock & metal started back in 1993 with Helloween, then Nightwish, Rhapsody, Fairyland, Dark Moor, Dragon Force, GammaRay, Avantasia, Epica, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Glory Hammer, Aquaria, Vision of Atlantis, Sabaton, and many more (I have a big CD collection)....... And then somehow I started listening to Folk Metal bands.. I´m from Mexico, but 98% of those bands have come on tour at least 1 time (and up to 10 ha). ----THE NEWEST BAND I discovered two days ago "FELLOWSHIP" They are launching their first album I belive this month, and they launched some videos on RUclips.
I can hear a little Kamelot and Nightwish in this track. A little Ten in the harmonies.... Great stuff! Definitely movie soundtrack vibes..... I hear a slight similarity to Marko's pre-op voice in Tobias'. Still has the grit but with cleaner higher tones too.... another artist added to my "to buy" list!
Tobi hates music videos and being in them, that's why Avantasia has like 5 or 6 official music vids. I love all of Avantasia albums, but if i really need to say which ones are closer to my heart it would be Moonglow, Ghostlights, The Scarecrow and The Mystery of time

Jennifer Haben) (2017) // Live // AFM Records ( jennifer is from Beyond The Black) i think you like it....have fun and stay save
all the album are great, I would left Wicked Symphony and Angel of Babylon for last, since they're less inspired. All the other albums are great, I can't choose. Anyway the first two, Metal opera 1 and 2, are more on the power metal side, while the other are more Symphonic/Power metal.
The best damn song. These days I'd even say it's my favourite song of all. Absolutely adore this track. - As for which to get, Iunno you might have checked some of them out so far, but several of the albums tell a continous story, like the album this song's from and the one before it (The Mystery of Time and Ghostlights) which is about a group of people traveling the world to find a way to understand one another, then there's The Scarecrow, The Wicked Symphony and The Angel of Babylon telling the story of a guy who... Tries to find his lot in life, I guess? Let's not forget the beauty that is Moonglow.
