Love the amazing set up. Cannot wait for to see it evolve as time goes by. That garage you could remove the door and put in a slider or something. And open it all up more.
Your basement is what my basement wants to be when it grows up! You were lucky to move to a place that already had panelling. The house I just moved to this year does not and it's incredibly difficult to source. Still hoping to find some. It really anchors the whole vintage look.
Love the new basement. I’m a big fan of physical media especially the kind I experienced when growing up. Being 43 I got to experience VHS, LPs, cassettes, etc and I still have a bit of each. I did not have BETA but I plan to fix that soon. A Sony SL-5800 is for sale locally and I may get it to pair with my 1980 Zenith System 3 console TV. There is also a Sony SL-HF400 for sale about 1.5hr drive away that I may get to hook up to my late model Trinitron.
wow man so much cool stuff, enjoyed this sort of behind the scenes tour. haha all the closets in my house are filled up in a similar way but with records.
Really looking good,im excited to see some appropriate carpet on those stairs.that was a good score on that stove, your one shaded copper- tone fridge awau from awesomeness in that kitchen.if you find an appropriate fridge in white or something you can get the correct color codes for the main color and the shading and fake one.if properly done you wont be able to tell its not the original color of a vintage fridge.
Out of curiosity, isn't that a JVC Vidstar 3300u? You say 3600u. I have the 3300u and it looks exactly like that (but mine doesn't work!). Love your vintage basement!
Love that intercom.

Great idea. That's always a possibility down the road.
Thank you for the tour! I hope you find the PERFECT green carpet for that one room. Looking forward to future updates!
Thanks so much! Hoping to get it installed soon. It will be a huge improvement.
My absolute dream basement 🙌 Hope I can make even a small corner look as cool as yours some day!
Hope you can too! Stash some cool stuff away as you find it until you have the right spot for it.
😍 very cool

I finally found a company that still makes wood paneling. Look up Mantlecraft.
Everything is coming along looks awesome thanks for sharing the updated vintage basement
My god, I love this. I wish I had that intercom system.
Thanks, Rob! A working intercom in a house is a rarity these days, and it's so much fun to have.

That's awesome! Sounds like you have a good collection and adding to it. Glad to hear you are getting some Beta in there too!
Awesome content and amazing new place.
Thanks so much!

I'm really wanting a great vintage fridge. It's not a must-have right now, so I just keep looking and waiting for the right one.
I will keep an eye out for a nice fridge and let you know if I see any good candidates
There's one listed on marketplace in Atlanta under vintage sears refrigerator that "looks" good in the pics
Welcome back
always in awe of your basement. what a dream
Enjoyed the tour! Thanks!
Coming together nicely!
Thanks! Hoping to make a lot of improvements in the next several months.
Love the curtains!
Thanks! It's hard to find good curtains, so I grab them whenever I see them.
Looks Great
Wish I had a setup like this. My area with this stuff is a mess!
Holy moly can I move in?!? 😅

Mine is the 3600u. I believe the difference is that mine can take a corded remote control. The 3300u is a little bit earlier.
This made my day! How did you acquire the Toys "R" Us R? And is the blue phone in the kitchen hooked up to a landline yet?
Found the "R" at an antique store in Seattle. It was saved when a local Toys R Us closed down. Yes, the blue phone is hooked up to a landline.
Clearly we are cut from the same cloth 👍
Preserve as much as you can!
killer
whats are those slippers you're rocking my man?
They are North Face like sleeping bag slippers. They are pretty comfortable. Good for wearing if you have to drive long distances too.
Thanks brother, I aspire to have something as cool as this!! @@vintagevideobasement
