  • In this video Lazze demonstrates the proper metal shaping techniques that should be used to straighten an edge, which has been warped, after a pass through the bead roller.

I'm a self-taught, 63-year-old welder, machinist, sheet-metal fabricator, engine builder, chassis fabricator, wiring, and . . . the list goes on, for over 30 years; however, I learn something new e_v_e_r_y time I watch one of your videos. In many cases, you validate my own experiences and discoveries. I find it amusing that I feel the need to wander out to the shop after one of your tutorials. I am so envious of your vast knowledge. It will be a fascinating journey to embark upon full time once I retire, but I need a lot more tools than I have - and I have a fair amount now.

You if you tinker, you will never really retire. There is always something to do.

Isn't it ironic, that when we retire, then we get to do what we truly love? I've spent a fortune on tools and I sometimes look at them and it upsets me to think that someone else will own them one day. They're mine, I have worn them, ground them and polished them to suit how I alone work. Unlikely they will be any use to someone else.

Brilliant bits of kit. Apart from the English wheel, I had to shrink using oxy/A when I learnt the trade.

I thought the bottom bearing for the lower die was interesting on his bead roller. I like the dies too.

Loving the videos, would like to see more come from your channel but I'm sure with your school and other things it can be hard to put time in youtube.
I was looking around about bead rolling tubes for turbo connections. It seems like I seen a video where someone was bead rolling the tube ends so the sleeves would hold better. Is this a real thing or something I dreamed late one night with my laptop on?

Lazze, I love watching your videos and your knowledge of metal shaping astounds me so I have to ask you this one question. Can the complex bends and curves of the gutter/weatherstrip groove under the upper corners of the trunk opening on for instance a 1963 ford be made with a bead roller? I have to replace the panel from the bottom of the back glass to under the trunk including the corners. Ken.
