This has been a very sad year for us watchers. It's only my 2nd year as I started last year with Jackie and Shadow, heartbreaking for us humans and then once again this year. I'm so thankful for these successes we get to witness. I had to back away from the sad nests but take a peek every day. I have grown fond of this nest as I will forever be with J&S as well, as long as they allow by God's grace.

Only a few of my original comments are getting through and even less replies. Due to time constraints, I haven't been trying again and again to get them through. They probably are well buried by now! 😞 She stayed for about a half hour. I was not surprised, as just like males came around, I expected females seeing him alone most of the time would be interested. Seven flights, wow! What a strong & well developed eaglet already! Had a fludge that became a fledge & returned in less than an hour. Hit by an owl that same night, but flew & found safety in a tree in the dark, & flew back home the next morning---then the next day, takes 7 intentional flights exploring the area---This makes me so happy! What a great season this is. E23 fell sleep in the nest at bedtime, & looked so adorable after his/her adventurous day! Hugs LH ❤

I know! This seems so fast. I just want to know where they go, how are they, but those are eagle secrets. Wish my human brain could get over it like mom and dad, although I think mom is going to have some issue, for her first. She's still spending lots of time with E23. But she'll learn to let go, probably by next season lol.
Empty nester here as well and it's always hard for me when they leave the nest for the final time 😢 I wish they had trackers so we would always know where they are 😂

I just love this stage where exploring, seeing new things, learning and soaking up a new world is suddenly at their feather tips. We're so fortunate that this nest allows us to experience all this with the Es. Most nest locations you can't follow that brief journey between fledge and leaving nest for good. Here we see the practice flights, the first bath, sometimes the first fishing, exploring the pasture and parents feeding off the nest. The Pritchetts have given us a gift beyond compare.
Ty for the flight recap and to the cam ops for following a crazy fledgling! E23 showing her great genes, very intelligently and systematically learning the wind (she inspires my confidence in her!). Beautiful to see her discover that the wind can do the work yesterday and flight 4 today really showed it, with a few glides, too. I think she's having so much fun, enjoying her new world, wonderful wind, mockingbird hits and all lol. Great few days watching the excitement. Next the pond and learning to really steal a meal from a parent, although mom is too much of a softie, bless her! Also unzipping. But no hurry, please stick around and let us watch you learn! You are beautiful and will no doubt be a very successful eagle! ❤️🦅🦅❤️🦅
This has been a season of triumphs. A new mate for M15 with F23 and a outstanding eaglet who is making tremendous strides...it's always bitter sweet when the young finally leave. But the prodigy must continue this amazing legacy & gene pool!

Mighty M15 really knows how to raise fiercely diligent offspring and with his genetic makeup, E23 has only 1 very distinct difference, F23 genes! I'm forever a Harriet admirer, but truly ❤the cams catching the uniqueness of F23's motherly love including feedings! It's almost as if E23 preferred food offerings by mom even though Dad did the shopping and prep 😂. @Lady Hawk I love that I never have to be so close to the cams with so little time in the day. Just checked in on Gabby. She's not been at the nest very much. Beau visits more than she does.
Today, he flew in with a beautiful young eagle trailing behind him. It looked to be a female. 😮
She was quite friendly and after she landed, she went to fly to be perched next to him. 😅
He then flew to LOP. Lol!
That's our Beau! Lol! 😂
She then went to the nest and was pulling on the "carpet" and lifting it high and then stomping it down. Doing Spring Cleaning! 😅
No eggs popped up. They probably are well buried by now! 😞
She stayed for about a half hour.
I was not surprised, as just like males came around, I expected females seeing him alone most of the time would be interested. Even the young ones! 😂

Seven flights, wow! What a strong & well developed eaglet already! Had a fludge that became a
fledge & returned in less than an hour. Hit by an owl that same night, but flew & found safety in a
tree in the dark, & flew back home the next morning---then the next day, takes 7 intentional flights
exploring the area---This makes me so happy! What a great season this is. E23 fell sleep in the
nest at bedtime, & looked so adorable after his/her adventurous day! Hugs LH ❤

I know! This seems so fast. I just want to know where they go, how are they, but those are eagle secrets. Wish my human brain could get over it like mom and dad, although I think mom is going to have some issue, for her first. She's still spending lots of time with E23. But she'll learn to let go, probably by next season lol.
Empty nester here as well and it's always hard for me when they leave the nest for the final time 😢 I wish they had trackers so we would always know where they are 😂

I just love this stage where exploring, seeing new things, learning and soaking up a new world is suddenly at their feather tips. We're so fortunate that this nest allows us to experience all this with the Es. Most nest locations you can't follow that brief journey between fledge and leaving nest for good. Here we see the practice flights, the first bath, sometimes the first fishing, exploring the pasture and parents feeding off the nest. The Pritchetts have given us a gift beyond compare.

Ty for the flight recap and to the cam ops for following a crazy fledgling! E23 showing her great genes, very intelligently and systematically learning the wind (she inspires my confidence in her!). Beautiful to see her discover that the wind can do the work yesterday and flight 4 today really showed it, with a few glides, too. I think she's having so much fun, enjoying her new world, wonderful wind, mockingbird hits and all lol. Great few days watching the excitement. Next the pond and learning to really steal a meal from a parent, although mom is too much of a softie, bless her! Also unzipping. But no hurry, please stick around and let us watch you learn! E23 does seem to have a very methodical approach to the development of his/her flight skills. If that can be said of an eaglet.😊 Love it.

This has been a season of triumphs. A new mate for M15 with F23 and a outstanding eaglet who is making tremendous strides...it's always bitter sweet when the young finally leave. But the prodigy must continue this amazing legacy & gene pool!

Mighty M15 really knows how to raise fiercely diligent offspring and with his genetic makeup, E23 has only 1 very distinct difference, F23 genes! I'm forever a Harriet admirer, but truly ❤the cams catching the uniqueness of F23's motherly love including feedings! It's almost as if E23 preferred food offerings by mom even though Dad did the shopping and prep 😂. @Lady Hawk I love that I never have to be so close to the cams with so little time in the day. When I need my E love and SWFL success stories, I come to you! Forever grateful for you, the Pritchett's and the Eagle community. E23, you're etched in my heart forever. Xo

This is my 1st year watching the Eagle family. I came across this video of this Eagle family and feel in Love and got attached to theme. Especially seeing E23 growing up and now ready to be own his new journey of New. Life. I am not ready to see this. I am sad and happy to see E23 to his life as a Beautiful Eaglet.
