Wow. I've met Larry Coryell a few times in my school for Masterclass. He used to call me the Charlie Parker guy. Posted about me on his Facebook page too. He's not just a great musician but an absolutely down to earth human. He makes you feel like he's just another guy in the room until you hear him play.
I met Larry in Sanford Florida.....on his Birthday......the town presented him a B-day cake...and the crowd sang Happy B day to him.... I met his wife....it was a wonderful day .....great memories.....I will always have......of that day.
Guys you are really great!!, but i have to tell you, as a brazilian musician, i think the music Noites Cariocas has the guitar base played a little bit wrong, i mean the Rhythm, It's a kind of bossa, almost, a Sambinha as we use to call here in Brasil. The solos are perfect but we do not play this on this rhythm here. Hope the best for you all guys you are really great.
Wow. These guys are technically advanced! Especially Kagerer. And all have very impressive sight reading skills. (didn't know Coryell could or was much of a sight reader) I looked at the album page. I guess Philip Catherine is on other cuts? (five players listed there) Also, these guys are clean players. Wish I could cut out all my string buzzes, fat fingers etc. These guys have been playing just a little while :)
This intro was the single best thing I heard so far from Helmut. You really earned my respect! Brilliant!
That jazzy touch just sounded wanderful in noites cariocas, no kidding, said by a Brazilian. thanks
Excellent music and great looking guitars, too.

After the Masterclass, he called me to jam with my Tenor saxophone, just the two of us. It was such a privilege..
Yes Larry is here , but it's Jimmy Bruno that played that beautiful introduction .

Ken, Toronto
@icecreamforcrowhurst: I understand that, but it's unusual to use the term, on a post such as this, as the majority on this site aren't from Germany.
