How does this video not even have 1000 likes yet?!?! This is awesome and I play trumpet so I know how hard it is to develop a tone like that, you did an awesome job!
Anthony, thanks for your kind words. As far as "he has a gift", you should know that I try to play every day, for 90 to 120 minutes. These tunes are just for fun, and mostly don't count in my practice sessions... I hate to scare kids thinking that they have to "have a gift" or a "knack". Play. Play more, and you will find that you learn the skills in time.
Thanks for making my day Aaren! Keep at it. When it becomes easy for you, that's when it's really fun. In the beginning it's tough, and feels like work. Get good at it... it feels like play. 🎺
I really only use one effect, and that is a reverb that is built in Logic X. It's called "SilverVerb". It makes things sound like it's on stage (somewhat) giving it a soft reverb. The settings I use are: Predelay: 14ms Reflectivity: 14% Room size: 44 Density/Time: 100% Rate: .65Hz Phase: 60 Intensity: 0.51 Low Cut: 410 Hz High Cut 6000Hz. The only three of these settings that I change (from the standard settings) are the first 3. I lower them, so it doesn't sound like I'm playing in an airport bathroom... 🎺😂
Patience, Zoey... Because I'm a trumpet player, I'm quite sure the flutes (and clarinets and saxes, etc.) made fun of the way I played *their* instruments. It's tough to be an expert on each. We all do the best we can. And for the record: A low D# is 2-3, and a high D# is 2. :)) Best wishes. -Mr.B

If it gets one like, that’s cool for me. This is a very early video for me, so hopefully my videos have improved since then. Thanks for watching!

I have recently started working with ableton and am still looking for good effects and settings especially for trumpet. Which effects do you use?
