    In case everyone should know, there is no such thing as an "australian magpie", the correct english name for Gymnorhina tibicen is "magpie-butcherbird", since it is a butcherbird and not a magpie, the only true magpies are the corvids that belong to the genus Pica, which also means that it is incorrect to call corvids in the genera Platysmurus, Cissa, Urocissa, and Cyanopica "magpies" too because their correct english names are actually "black treepie", "luwuya", "lanwuya", and "husonya" respectively.

    Can the African-Crowned eagle can eat owls too?

    • @4EverGreenYT
      @4EverGreenYT  5 дней назад +1

      Yes, African-Crowned Eagles are powerful predators and can potentially prey on a variety of animals, including smaller birds like owls. They typically hunt medium-sized mammals, but if an opportunity arises, they might take down a smaller bird like an owl. However, such interactions are not very common. Thanks for the question!

      That sounds like such a fascinating story! Magpies are incredibly intelligent and can form strong bonds with humans. It's amazing to hear how they interacted with her during the pandemic. Thanks for sharing!
