I've learned so much from successfully hatching killifish eggs. It's very rewarding getting the setup right and raising life from a bag of soil 👀❤️🤷♀️
congrats on your hatch! i've had some really good success with eggs from aquabid. raised two kinds of gardneri from eggs to adults. i've even gone back for more and have some aph. striatum eggs on the way. fingers crossed, i'd love to end up with at least a breeding pair of those.
sometime very tricky (because the incubation period)... but overall most mature eggs will hatch with soft water.. then, you can acclimate it with tap water overtime.. for prevent belly slider on Non-Annual Killi, plant is the best than oxygen powder (bcos basicly its a low concentrate bleach)..
I hatched some little killis 3 of them hatched. One of them survived a but longer couldn't get the little fella to survive longer than a few weeks sadly. Will try again in the future.
Any updates bud? I'm looking at buying some today but was hesitant as I wasn't sure if they were a dud or not. You've cleared that up for me, so thank you. Great vid 🤘
@@HobbyistFishkeeper just checked out a couple of your other vids about them, shame you couldn't find them. I've put in a best offer for a pack of 30...ill try my luck 😅
Hi I'm a new subscriber to your channel 🐠 I'm enjoying the content so far please keep it up 👏🏼👏🏼I personally liked the unboxing and testing videos, looking forward to seeing more from you 👍🏼.
@@HobbyistFishkeeper Good video, thank you. Could you please list the seller you bought the eggs from? I an't find Simpsonichthy on Ebay; Simpsonichthys santanae eggs is all that comes up. Thanks!

It's very hit an miss pal, I've ordered about 6 packets one had about 20 eggs a couple had 5-10. I wouldn't spend more than £10 to be safe

@@LewisNuke92 you are better off on aquabid much more reputable sellers there than ebay.
You used tap
Water and dechlorinated it right?
No I used water from a fully cycle empty tank, the tank they would be going in.
Hobbyist Fishkeeper thanks m8, I am thinking about getting some killifish.
@@HobbyistFishkeeper You said you used tap water in the video so my alarm bells rang too.
I was wondering the same thing. You said tap water and I was like NOOOOO! 😂
