    I like how this dr evaluates the pros and cons. Extraction can make a protruding face more elegant and proportionate, but it has to be considered carefully to not make an otherwise normal face look sunken in or to constrict function.
    In my case I had my upper premolars extracted to make up for my underdeveloped lower jaw. Unfortunately it doesn’t look very flattering. My lower face looks weak and dished in.
    I’m trying to get over it, at least no teeth stick out🥲

      Yeah I have bimaxillary protrusion which means my mouth is ahead of my nose, I think I’m a good candidate for premolar extractions

      Then you may be interested in learning about orthotropics. Sorry for the bad news, but extractions actually damage the shape of the face and make it less healthy and attractive. Pushing your tongue up onto the roof of your mouth all day will slow or prevent further damage, and perhaps even reverse existing deformation. You can learn more by looking at the work of Prof. John Mew, Dr. Mike Mew, Sarah Hornsby and Dr Derek Mahoney. You can find them on RUclips.

      @@AmirulMokhrisPlease actually look into it, though. It's interesting. Crooked teeth are not natural after all. It's caused by the lack of physical support form the tongue (I.e. mouthbreathing). The tongue is meant to push up all the time to widen the jaws. And, Drs. John and Mike Mew have put together a treatment method that's clearly superior to traditional orthodontics.

      Fishofgold6 yeah, well honey, I have a breathing issue in my nose which apparently actually required surgery and therefore I became a mouth breaker until further notice. My sister had her 4 premolars extracted and she forcefully yanked her braces off and never even got retainers. Perfectly straight teeth, ladies and gentlemen, our local dentist is impressed by her teeth every time. I’ve had my 4 premolars extracted which I’ve been so happy, especially with my current results and I couldn’t be happier so I think I’m okay. You don’t need to come up with this random information that looks like it’s been copied and pasted just to end it with a promo saying who we can find where

    • @fishofgold6553
      @fishofgold6553 4 года назад

      @@ala6329Yeah, sorry for the ad-like comment. But I promise it wasn't copied. I just really would like people to become aware of these issues, because I've recently become fascinated with the importance of oral posture for correct facial development and the potential harms of orthodontics (it tends to recess the face and narrow the airway.) Orthotropics focuses on correct poor facial growth to widen the airway and make enough room for the teeth, rather than straightening them.
      Mouth-breathing has become endemic in modern society and it's ruining people's facial development and sleep quality without them having any idea of it.

    I went to my orthodontist I had to extract 4 teeth (2 up and 2 bottom) I was Appalled to hear that I had to remove teeth for my overbite. I never knew that getting braces needs ur tooth extracted. ( people’s teeth is different so it doesn’t go to everyone) I decided to not to take that risk, because after removing ur teeth ur other teeth can damage too and also it’s gonna be like living in hell so it’s not worth just to get a straight smile to risk ur future( eating, tooth loss, bone loss,biting)
