You're correct, there are so many unsung heroes. Just amazing the extent of bravery and persistence some folks are capable of. Thank you for sharing this video, very interesting and informative.
Thank you so much for these stories, Mr. Recky. I do tend to gravitate toward WWII since my Dad served in that. Those men wouldn't talk about what they'd been through. (My dad only told me one story, but it's one I can't get out of my head to this day) But you are so right. There are so many unsung heroes who served bravely. This man was one of the very brave. Thanks for showing this and for your wonderfully kind words.
Yeah it's crazy how a lot of those guys when they came home, died just a few months after returning home. My Uncle Stanley that I never got to meet died about 4 months after coming back from the Korean War. My dad told me about him.

The Delta Raiders had TWO Medal of Honor recipients during the Vietnam War. Sgt. Clifford Chester Sims was awarded his posthumously.
Excellent as always.

D (Delta) Company, 2nd Bn., 501st Parachute Infantry Regt., 101st Airborne Division were known as the Delta Raiders of Vietnam...
When I watch recordings of battle like this I find myself trying to identify all the weapons.
Great video, really.
If you ever come see me, I'll take you to the local American Legion hall. The old men you see might be real badasses.
