In the part 3 of the tutorial, the whole building is just in box type but here, it is already triangular. Can you please show how you did that? Thanks.
Greetings, is there a difference betwen modeling the raw model in Dialux directly, or just importing the model from a 3ds file? can i configurate the model properly? the fact is that the house is quite complex, with middle levels and double heighs and a pool, and i rather get the model from sketchup, thanks
Yes, just don't use 3ds files if you want to do interior lighting design. If you just want to do facade lighting you will be fine with the 3ds building. If there is any chance to get a proper ifc-file model of your building that would be great to bypass creating it from scratch... Why not use 3ds? You will face a variety of issues- For instance: room designation. It lacks it and you will be unable to export your report with the right designation of luminaires. Windows: They are not working properly as windows that are made in DIALux. You will be unable to include daylight calculations to your interior. System resources: big 3ds files slow down the software, sometimes up to the point where it gets tedious to work on a project. Why: because 3ds files are often not optimized by reducing the amount of surfaces. A small round object or a tree with leaves often has more surfaces than a multi-storey building alone. There also more issues that you can run into..

Great video, I really needed the Shift+Drag control!
Would also like to know how to make different roofs and different heights between rooms.
U change the diagram, you didn't tell us to put how to make roof and different height of walls... So we lose continuity
