APU hybrid crossfire coming soon I can smell it A8-7650k + R7 250 gddr3 2gb There are newer Adrenaline drivers than you used here. Has frame pacing reduced spikes Get 60fps in Stalker 1080p maxed
R5 240 crossfire is diabolic remember when Nvidea decided that we are not allowed to use "low budged" cards in SLI? meanwhile AMD lets us use a literal pocket calculator in crossfire btw i just pulled out my old (super good looking) Quadro 4000 cards from the drawer. running at 65 degrees while being in the LoL loading screen haha. They defenitely need a repaste. but after that, i will defenitely try some SLI action with them^^ 1 of them was running at 65% load in League of Legends max settings and 1080p. So actually not bad if u use it for e sports. this card only costs 10 buck where i live. they are even overclockable
I HAVE A MSI R7 240! This card is installed in a PCIe to PCI adapter in a PCI-X slot for a dual Pentium 4 workstation. Linux BARELY works, as LTS distros are too slow and outdated, and rolling release locks up on the login screen using a modern desktop. You must use lightdm with LXQT to work. It's not a card useful for modern games, but you can play older games and watch RUclips on it.
Perhaps crossfire on these cards were only meant for much older e-sports titles? You could try CS Source, Unreal Tournament 3/2004, Quake 3 etc. But I have no idea if those games would even benefit from crossfire.
Actually, I have a recommendation, being AMD sold headless mini cards meant for crossfire on APUs. I watched another guy try one with a Nvidia card, and it didn't work and crashed because he was clearly using it wrong, as it was NEVER intended to be used standalone.
I've done a video with hd 6770m mxm video card and I used a gt 230 to display. That card is dx 10 but the hd 6770m its dx11 and it allowed me to play dx11 games. Cool idea. Definetly need to look into it.
Please disable "On-Screen Display fill" in Riva Tuner. That covers too much of the image (game). Without it both the OSD and the game are easy to follow.
As far as I know this is the only GPU with a Swedish island as a name. Oland or Öland as it’s actually called. I never used something this low end though. I had the 270X. At 199 USD launch price the 270X was well priced. Especially since that became only 150 bucks here. These days 199 USD becomes 300 bucks here 😂
I have one of these, it overclocks the memory to 1300Mhz (2600) no problem, that boosts performance a lot, this card is very badly starved of memory bandwidth
This is much worse than my laptop with Vega 8 (1200 Mhz but constantly drops to 200 Mhz because lacking good cooling). At least I can play Skyrim on 720p, high with Immersive Saturation Boost and Osmodius textures and looks much better than Vanilla on ultra. 60 FPS constant.
My 900P craptop has some Intel integrated graphics. I played Observer: Redux (a cyberpunk horror game) with it at 768P with something between medium and high settings. Average ~50 FPS. Also played local Portal 2 Koop with a friend. 900P medium settings 60 FPS with some stutters. These ultra low end GPUs might had a usecase back then when iGPUs were so bad that they even struggled with HD video playback. Maybe this is the reason why NVIDIA stopped doing GT series GPUs. Modern iGPUs are simple good enough to make these type of GPUs obsolete.
@@NVIDIAQuadroT400Benchmarks Radeon R4 240 is a low end GPU from 2013 and Ryzen 3500U with Vega 8 is from 2019. A Vega 8 iGPU on a proper CPU (not mobile as in my laptop) is much more performant. But never made any sense to buy a new CPU and a new low end GPU. Because that low end GPU is not better than iGPUs from its era.
@@DanielCardei Ok, I am waiting- the more crazy content, the more entertaining for me BTW My other hobby is listening to true crime podcasts. Last time I found out, that about 100 years ago, there was a superstition, that if you defecate on the crime scene, you won't be caught. Antihero of the story was caught anyway, but I found my new knowlege so interesting, I have to share it. 💩💩💩
"Very interesting performance" 😂 A single R5 240 is only slightly better than a GT 710 while having a much higher power consumption (50W vs 19W). If you put two of these in a Pc you are literally wasting 100W. With 100W you can put a single GTX 1050 (TI) or even a GTX 1650 or equivalent AMD GPUs into the computer and get a much better setup.
R5 240s in Crossfire, this is the type of stuff I subbed to your channel for, well done!
🤝
lovely video i was not expecting this to work at all
Me neither 🙃
My guy, I hope you know your channel is well under appreciated, your content is awesome 🔥

These gpus are ~$10 US rn. Had no idea they could be crossfired.
Hilarious that this is even an option.
AMDs Adrenalin has a metric overlay you can use in the Performance tab if Afterburner is giving you issues!
I'm really curious if the r7 450 can be crossfired, also it would be pretty hilarious to see 4 way crossfire with these r5 240's
13:45 hahahahahahaha, perfect reaction
i ran hd4670 crossfire way back when.

I saw the title, and said "Finally!"
It take so long to get them. (Cheap ofc)
You shaved? Good work lol Ive cut down the beard as well, last week. Although my excuse is getting an operation.

Definitely I'll test it.
This card had a low profile 4 GB VRAM version, for like 70-80$, perfect for home-server builds
I think you need to test dx12/vulkan games with crossfire like strange brigade, doom, wolfenstein, ecc...
@@lazylivegamingita813 literally doesn't work because dx12/Vulkan removed crossfire support.
@JohnDoe-ip3oq there's multigpu support, same thing

✌🤪
you should test asus 240's with 4gb of ddr5 memory. if those can do crosfire it would be wierd

That's r7. Interesting card to be honest.

Wait I got 2 of these! But ah I ain't smart enough for this.
You just plug them in and install the drivers. In the menu there is enable crossfire and thats it 😋
I asked for GT 710 quad-SLI. Maybe it's not exactly that, but still should be crappy enough for an entertaining video 💩💩💩
I think for that I need an oem machine. I've seen ltt video and I think that's the way.
