Iosif Kobzon - Song of the Dnieper / Иосиф Кобзон - Песня о Днепре - Soviet WW2 Song

This song was written by Yevgeny Dolmatovsky as he was escaping german capture in 1941, soon joined by composer Mark Fradkin who served with the Southern Front they performed the song with newly composed music in November of 1941. Since then the song has become a symbol of the liberation of the Western USSR from the nazis. This rendition of the song was performed by Iosif Kobzon.
