    The bar is set pretty low if we are getting excited about coaches that bring out flashes. You think the Ravens defensive coaching staff are fine with flashes ? The idea with being cool with progressions that take 4 years is wrong on every level

      It's a nice business model. It keeps the fans engaged always hoping for a better future. It's a repeating cycle of young players and coaches that are going to be great.

      The Packers have ruined their chances of being Super Bowl Champions by undervaluing the off ball LB and Safety positions. At least now they have realized it.

    I would not pickup the 5th option on either Walker or Wyatt. I would try to negotiate a deal similar to the deal the Packers made with Jordan Love prior to signing Love’s contract extension. Spread the 5th yr option out over a two year period. That gives the team another year to evaluate both Wyatt and Walker in Hafley’s 4-3 scheme.

      @@PackerBacker911 Love's pocket awareness is fine - he's one of the least sacked starting QB's in the league. He can definitely use some coaching regarding when to use his legs and take the yards available in front of him. The biggest area that needs attention is his footwork and maintaining fundamentals. Not sure why he hasn't already got this down over 4 years, but hopefully Mannion can bring a fresh perspective.

    • @PackerBacker911
      @PackerBacker911 6 дней назад +2

      @@robczypinski1725 I wouldn't say his pocket awareness is fine. He just gets rid of the ball because he's afraid to take hits and doesn't navigate the pocket very well. Other than that I agree he needs to use his legs more, work on his footwork, and his accuracy.

    I heard the Packers need a LB coach. I know a guy who has coached LBs for several teams and is really under the radar. It's a guy named Joe Barry. I don't know much about his past but have heard he's a great LB coach. I'll have to do some more research to get a better idea of his coaching history. Definitely a MLF type of hire.

    Regarding the QB coach situation -- I wonder if the reason they didn't promote Lewis to QB coach is because they have some other promotion in mind for him. Especially now with the news that Steno is taking at least one more confirmed interview (and there might be others that the team is aware of even if fans aren't), there could be a shakeup in the offensive coaching staff if he leaves, and they might have something bigger in mind for Lewis if that happens.

    Instead of the 5th year option I try to extend quay 3 years 36 million with ability to get out after year two. Hes still young and has potential. And I want to see him and cooper together for a few years. Wyatt I wouldn’t give option to. He was an older rookie to start. Hasn’t been a starter in 3 years. And doesn’t make enough impact. I say draft a guy in 3-4th round. And brooks has been the best young player anyways

      I'm more inclined to draft 2-3 WRs than pay big money to someone other than Davante. Higgins is more injury prone than Watson. Olave had multiple concussions and Godwin is coming off of serious injury. Would target Adams and Slayton (NYG), I believe Andy mentioned Slayton before. Wicks is excellent at separation and route running, just needs to catch the damn ball more. Doubs is in a contract year and Reed just needs to be more involved in the offensive game plan. If Musgrave can give anything, have 2 TEs who can be offensive weapons.
      Your Draft players are awesome BTW. I'm very excited about possible UDFA players. There are several WRs, DTs and CBs I like so far in the 200-300 range. I'll be at the Combine for the first time in my life and am looking forward to watching and listening to buzz around Indy that weekend. I don't know about Morrison that high, would rather go Edge Rusher in first round, WR in 2/3 and then address CB in 4th and other positions in later rounds. Drew Kendall (C) Boston College looks like he had a good career, curious to see his measurables. I am curious also to see how we look at some of Hafley's older players, I imagine some of them may be UDFAs if they don't get picked by other teams.

    Roquan Smith was an exception but off ball linebackers don't get their 5th year option picked up because dollar figure is based off of a LB position that includes pass rushing OLB. Quay was never getting the 5th year option picked up in the current LB market unless he was an all pro caliber player. Only 3 off ball LB making more than 5th year figure are Roquan Smith, Fred Warner and Tremaine Edmunds. It wan never a conversation other than to explain why it doesn't make sense and has more to do with the LB designation than Quay Walker himself.

Sean Mannion’s transition to quarterbacks coach will provide a fresh perspective for the Green Bay Packers’ signal callers, especially as the team looks to maximize the potential of their quarterbacks moving forward. With these new coaching appointments, the Green Bay Packers are focused on continuing to develop their talent and ensuring that both their defensive line and quarterbacks are in capable hands for the upcoming 2025-26 NFL season.
