I know that on my daughter's deathbed, we were able to tell her goodbye and that we loved her. I also told her it was ok to go on and join our loved ones who were waiting for her on the other side and that Jesus was waiting by her side to take her by the hand and lead her home to Heaven. She passed quietly with a slight smile on her face.
Jeanette- this is such a beautiful comment. I can only imagine the pain you felt and the sadness you must have endured when your daughter passed. There is no greater love than being able to help someone transition, when there is nothing you personally want less. I wish you comfort and peace, and hope no one ever has to have that experience. I was already crying with Brooke, when she was talking about her experience with the baby calf, when I saw your comment. I wish you the best, you are certainly a special person. ❤
May God Bless you and comfort you. I was 61 years.old and never been near anyone taking their final breaths on this earth. My father in law passed peacefully recently and I was blessed to be by his side. It was the most moving thing in my life and a total confirmation of my faith.
When he had his eyes open while they were giving him something to drink, he had so much peace in his look and he knew he was in the arms of loving people.
Jason kept apologizing for the "negative" and I thought it was a beautiful story. You tried, and even though you didn't get the results you wanted, a little calf didn't lay out in the rain and cold to die. He was warm, dry and felt love...probably the first love in his short days. It is heartwarming that someone cares. Your story is touching as well. Great job.
Brooke, thank you for comforting the little calf who left almost as soon as he came. I don’t know if he understood the words you spoke to him but he understood compassion and care and love. That’s good enough. 🙏
❤ What a way to make us cry at the start! Bless that little calf's heart! It definitely knew the best love and compassion in it's short time here on earth! I believe God loves and cares about all the animals on earth because you have to look at Noah and the Ark. It took a lot of planning for him to have enough food and supply's for 40 days and nights. More really! Lots to consider we don't know! I'm sure Noah and God had a lot of late night talks, hahaha Jason can you imagine making the rounds visiting all the animals?? Hahaha
Agree. He needed to be nurtured to go across the bridge. He is with his mama now. You two cared for him and made his final hours comfy and full of love.
God bless you, Brooke! You are a kind and compassionate woman--exactly what these animals need. I am a RN, and believe in God. I know from caring for family, friends, pets, and patients, I know that encouragement to continue to fight to live is important for those who have potential to improve--but also important to give those who cannot recover permission and support to leave this earthly life when it is time. You and Jason seem to be positive advocates for all animals based on their needs! You did that for Little Boy Calf--even though it was not the outcome you originally hoped for! Thank you for your hard work--and for sharing with us!
Even if the little guy didn't understand your words, he understood the love in your voice. You gave him comfort and relieved his fear. Thank you, sweet lady.❤❤❤
And this is why I adore Cog Hill Farm. You treat your animals like I love to see - caring, kind, and talking to them! I love to see how you will help any animal that needs it with love and respect. Even though I wish that calf had pulled through - it went to Heaven with love surrounding him - not out there alone in terrible weather. Thank you for being there!
I am crying again... I cried yesterday when Jason told us..and crying now.. y'all took that little guy out of the weather and kept him warm and helped him to be at peace when it was his time. And I want to thank you.. it is a difficult thing but necessary at times..
Bless your heart, Brooke I’m in tears. I don’t think animals always understand our words, but I do think that they always are able to feel our energy and our heart. I love you and Jason and bless you for making that little fellas last hours comfortable❤
Loved your story about the little calf. Y'all are the best... he felt your warmth and love til The end. Wish you could have helped sooner but it wasn't meant to be. Brooke you said what he needed to do. Warms my heart and brings tears.
Brooke you are so right, he passed knowing love and he wasn't alone. You two have the bigs hearts, you did what you could. He got a lot of prayers and love from the Cog squad.
Hello to you all. Mo is projected to have 7 inches of snow and ice this weekend. As a 73 year old with health issues i guess im not going anywhere this weekend. God bless you all and stay safe
We have always told each of our babies .when they were fading...that it was ok to let go...how much they are loved and how much they will be missed but never forgetten...always in our heart
Thank you so much for trying to help him. Animals sense and feel even if they don’t understand the words. I’m sure he took great comfort from your attention. ❤
I can tell you, Brooke, there is no doubt in my mind that that little calf looked to you for comfort and guidance..what you did, if just sitting with him, is exactly what all animals, even humans, look toward as they prepare to transition. I made a vow to all my animals that if the heavens allowed I would be with them as much at the end as I was when I first welcomed them to my home. They will look into your eyes every time.
Having been a hospice nurse for many years, I agree with you. They all know and understand you when you speak to them. They also can feel the love you have for them. Thank you for all you do for all animals that come to you.
Thank you for trying to save the little calf. You are so good. With animals and I believe you did the right thing by telling him it was ok not to stay sick.
When my husband passed in May I don’t know if he was sleeping or unconscious but all of a sudden he raised up and was I thought starring at me. Then I realized he was looking over my shoulder. Two of my sons were standing on either side of me and my youngest asked me who he was looking at. I replied he’s looking at God. Then he laid back and was gone. The thought that he was being taken to Heaven by God was the most comforting feeling.
I believe you absolutely did give that little baby so much comfort with your sweet, loving voice and touch. I sure do wish he could have pulled through. I know that had to be hard on you even though you know you did everything you could. You have such a big heart.
Love the little cow story made me cry. Brooke if you remember I’m a nurse and I love animals too! There has been many times I’ve encouraged my patients to hang on and many times I’ve told them it’s ok for them to go. Even my Grandmother and my mother and they looked at me and almost instantly went peacefully.
I fully believe that calf was comforted by your voice. I don't know if he understood what you said but he was comforted. And so am I. You are such a good person, that goes for your whole family.
I believe you are right about the baby Calf! It's very selfless to give him permission to go. We hope for the best for our Kids, Animals, but it is our job to also keep them from suffering. God Bless you Brooke.
Bless you for all you did to save that little baby. At least he left this world knowing he was loved.❤ You will love the cast iron! I have several in all sizes and love them!
In hospice. They encourage the family to tell their loved ones it ok to go. I told my mom it was not only ok but that it was time so her would not have to endure any more pain. She passed within the hour. I think she was just spending time with me n she was suffering so much. Some times they need permission.
It isn't crazy Brooke. I believe animals do understand us. They might not understand all of our words but they can feel and understand our hearts. That little calf felt your love. God Bless y'all for what you do for the animals.
I too believe that hearing that we give permission for our loved ones to go, whether it be human or our animals, lets them pass with dignity and love. Thank you for all you do. Miss Matilda is improving so much. She’s a sweetheart.
I cried all the way through the video of the neighbors calf. He was so beautiful but now he’s peacefully joined with his Momma. Thank you, Cog Hill Farm, For all your heartfelt efforts❣️
The video about the calf was heartwarming. Thank you for the tender loving care you gave him. He crossed the 🌈 Rainbow Bridge 🌈 feeling loved. When my Daddy was in his final days, everyone said I was his favorite. Even though he loved all his children. But I went and sat with him one night and told him how much we all loved him and that I could tell he was tired and it was o.k. to go home to Jesus. I lived close to the facility he was in and got a call shortly I got home to come back because my Daddy vitals signs were getting weak. He passed away about an hour later. I truly believe that our love ones and furbabies look to us to let them know it's o.k. to let go. 🙏✝️🙏 God bless you and Jason for all you do. We love you both. 🙏✝️🙏
You gave him comfort and love and made his last time more comfortable than he would have been in the cold. Blessings to Cog Hill farm for your compassion. ❤
Not silly at all !! Thank you for sharing that experience. I watched the video of you guys rescuing him live and I totally agree with you that he looked to you for guidance. I have had a heart breaking similar experience with a kitten that I rescued. Thank you for the love that you gave that precious baby !!
Brooke, I cried when he passed, and I am crying now. I believe he did know, and he felt your kindness and love for him. I believe animals are sentient beings and they understand love and kindness and he felt your words. God bless you for your care.
I’m crying again hearing this story. You are the best people ever. God’s blessings on you and Jason and the animals you’ve helped. He’s crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is with his mother. You did all you could.
That sweet little baby passed in hands of loving people instead of passing all by himself by a pond. Thank you so much for all your love, help and compassion for this sweet baby. Rest In Peace little one ❤🙏
I knew it! It was very apparent that he was listening to you! Glad he had that time with y’all & was not alone! He passed with love! TYTY for sharing! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
This video of yours is one of the reasons I watch all your videos, both Mrs. Cog Hill and the other channel as well. Even though your video with the sweet little calf didn’t have a good outcome, it so warmed my heart to see all your efforts to help him. Thank you for sharing your farm with us.
Brooke, that little calf heard you. I have had to tell several family and friends that kept hanging on. They need to know that it is ok to let go,to not suffer anymore. You and Jason did a good thing trying to save him and, even if you couldn’t, at least he went warm and safe. You two are special people in your love for others and for people & God sees the work y’all are doing.
So sad about the little calf, you, Jason and Catherine did all you could for the little guy. It is comforting to know he knew love and was warm and dry and passed peacefully
Thank you for loving the Baby Calf when He needed it the most. You are such a special Lady. Thank you Both for sharing your knowledge and Love with the World. ❤ God Bless
Bless you for sending the little guy across the bridge. The last moments of his life, were spent being loved on and cared for by the most caring folks in the world. RIP sweet little guy
You are wonderful humans to have so much love for all the animals! He passed with a warm hug and that is what counts! Thank you and God Bless you! 🌸🌻🐝🦚🦆🦃🦢🐓🐖🫏🐎🐄🐐🦮🐈⬛🤗💕
It's not silly at all. What you did is what every living being hopes to have when it's time to go. Thank you for helping that calf and caring for life. ❤❤❤
Brooke, you did your best to save that baby calf. My heart breaks for his loss. Y’all are priceless with the way you care for all animals. Y’all are loved. ❤❤
I've lost many dogs in my lifetime and I truly believe they tell you when they are ready to go. That calf was thanking you for making it warm and loved, but it was tired and couldn't fight anymore. You are truly angels to animals
You are not silly at all for feeling the way you do about that calf - I completely feel the same way! God created animals for us for companionship and enjoyment. I feel it’s our duty in return to care for them if it’s in our power to do so. You did what you could - thank you 🙏 🕊️
Neither of you should apologize for that beautiful little calf. He was warm and loved. He knew it and was able to pass peacefully. You were graced to have him for the short time you had him. We were blessed to pray for him.
You should be so Proud of yourselves for doing everything you did for little baby calf! Although sad the baby was Loved before going to Jesus🙏🙏🙏Blessings
Please please Brooke, know that we see the love and caring you have for all the critters in your care. We know the poor little calf fell the love just from your voice. This is one reason that we love Cog Hill Farm. Continue on Brooke and Jason with the great care you give to each of the animals on the farm and we will continue to watch your wonderful videos🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
I am glad the little calf did not die alone in the wet and cold. I had to say goodbye to my last 3 dogs and held them as they took their last breaths. It is so hard to say goodbye, but you and Jason and Catherine and Dr. Dee all did what you could.
You and Jason always show compassion from your hens and chicka to your cattle and everyone in between. God knows whom He can trust with His creations. ❤
Nothing better than a good season cast iron pan love my cast iron pans after you're done cooking you just wipe them out or just rinse them out with hot water put them back on the burner for a little bit just cook the water out of it wipe them down with a little bit of oil put them back into cupboard that are ready to go again My cast iron Brian pens came from my mom and she got them back in late 60s early 70s so they're pretty old😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Good morning Brooke, your love and calming nature provided the little calf a peaceful passing. Happy to hear Caden is improving! Rockin the cast iron skillet magic!❤😊
My Mom was a registered nurse for many years. She always said you had to give loved ones permission to go and assure them you would be okay. I found this to be so true when I had to whisper in my Mom’s ear that I would be fine and it was okay to go. I watched her slowly relax and peacefully pass in minutes. It’s been 24 years and I still miss her 💕💕💕
Brooke, I had an experience as a student nurse with a woman who was at the end of her journey but was hanging on & on. After I gave her care I sat down & held her hand. I silently gave her affirmations about the person & mother she was. I told her that she was so loved & would be hugely missed but her family was going to be alright. She didn't have to hold on she could cross that Rainbow Bridge any time she was ready. I could feel her relax as she was able let go & cross over. I consider this an honor that she heard my heartfelt communication and peacefully passed. Our thoughts and words have the power to heal. Your words & care gave the calf peace & allowed him to go meet his mother on the Rainbow Bridge. Blessings to all of you for giving your humanity & love so freely. ❤🩹💝💖
Brooke, you're not SILLY, you are loving and inspirational. You and your family have saved so many critters... Just like your pups-especially Rocky, Snow White, now MOOtilda... Keep loving and trying thank you
Brooke, you have a HUGE Heart ❤️ In knowing that, that little calf didn't die alone made my heart warm. You are such a kind kind soul. Many many Blessings, Laurel
He crossed the rainbow bridge feeling the famous Cog Hill love. You eased his passing with warmth and love.

I was already crying with Brooke, when she was talking about her experience with the baby calf, when I saw your comment. I wish you the best, you are certainly a special person. ❤
I am so sorry. You must miss her but what you said is true Jesus was waiting to hold her and she will be in bliss waiting for you.
Yes, I also got to e with my daughter,Allie as she passed. Thank you Jesus ❤
🙏🙏 for you and your family ❤

The baby calf knew he was in a safe place and your comforting voice made it easier for him to leave this world. That baby knew he was loved.
I was just thinking that

Just because everything does not turn out the way we would want, does not make it negative.

You did the right thing. Animals can feel and understand your words.

So glad to hear Caden came over!! Praying for swift mending and recovery!
Brooke, my Grandpa needed to hear, it's ok to let go.
Indeed.. this is a bigger lesson than just this little calf. It's about embracing life in ALL its amazing aspects.
You were such a blessing to that little guy. Thank you for trying. ❤️❤️
❤watching the video ❤
I hope your family is doing
Well Brooke & Jason❤
Bless your heart, Brooke I’m in tears. I don’t think animals always understand our words, but I do think that they always are able to feel our energy and our heart. I love you and Jason and bless you for making that little fellas last hours comfortable❤

Not me sobbing over that baby calf's connection to Brooke! Every animal is blessed to be on Cog Hill Farm!
Mootilda is fragile and needs to be with the donkeys and goats for the time being. 😊
When my husband passed in May I don’t know if he was sleeping or unconscious but all of a sudden he raised up and was I thought starring at me. Then I realized he was looking over my shoulder. Just knowing he wasn't alone was probably a comfort for him.
Love the little cow story made me cry. Brooke if you remember I’m a nurse and I love animals too! In hospice. They encourage the family to tell their loved ones it ok to go. I told my mom it was not only ok but that it was time so her would not have to endure any more pain. She passed within the hour. I think she was just spending time with me n she was suffering so much. Some times they need permission.
Exact same thing with me and my mom! Hardest thing I had done.
God bless@@Nana9112go
God bless
I had to tell a friend that it's ok to go! He died about an hour after I said that! He was suffering!
@ I agree. Whoever said death was beautiful did not have my experience. My mother’s last gurgling breath will haunt me forever.
You guys did your best 💜🦆🚜🐝🙏🏻
It isn't crazy Brooke. I believe animals do understand us. They might not understand all of our words but they can feel and understand our hearts. That little calf felt your love. God Bless y'all for what you do for the animals.

Brooke, This is a beautiful video. ❤
The video about the calf was heartwarming. Thank you for the tender loving care you gave him. He crossed the 🌈 Rainbow Bridge 🌈 feeling loved.

It was heartwarming your statements to the baby cow. He had been abandoned twice but he was with loved ones at the end.
That sweet little baby passed in hands of loving people instead of passing all by himself by a pond. Thank you so much for all your love, help and compassion for this sweet baby. Rest In Peace little one ❤🙏

That little bull didn't die out in that cold pasture. He transitioned in comfort. Thank you and the others for trying to help him.

You are a kind, loving person and I feel God sent that baby to y’all for its final days. Thank you for your compassion.
You did everything you could for the baby. Hugs ,Brooke.
The little calf was warm, comfortable, and feeling love so he was able to pass peacefully, not cold, neglected, and scared thanks to your efforts.
Thank you for being so genuine in your posts. I love watching you feed the animals and all your day to day chores. Happy New Year and stay warm
Thank you Brooke! You did all you could to! I believe what you told him he understood.
I’m so glad that little calf had the words of love spoken in its last moments! Also that cast iron is amazing! Way to go Jason!
Brooke you have love and empathy in your heart. ❤
Brooke, you did a wonderful thing for that precious baby. I would have talked to them too.
It’s amazing when an animal or person’s time has come, comfort and peace is needed. You both are so merciful and kind to animals! ❤
Brooke, you're not SILLY, you are loving and inspirational. You and your family have saved so many critters... Just like your pups-especially Rocky, Snow White, now MOOtilda... Keep loving and trying thank you
Brooke, you have a HUGE Heart ❤️
In knowing that, that little calf didn't die alone made my heart warm. You are such a kind kind soul.
Many many Blessings,
Laurel
