What makes this song really difficult is not so much the range. But the powerful, resonant and passionate belting along with the rich deep tone. Hitting these notes may not be so difficult, but singing them with the amount of power and soul that Whitney had along with a rich tone is damn near impossible.

Even though I had attempted this song but never managed it, I can sing it with ease now and can reach, sing and hold every note. Thank you for your prompt reply. I would LOVE to do a recording and send it to you, but I have no equipment to do that. I have tried to find out how to record via the internet but it seems to involve downloading pertinent sites. Someone gave me the name of one to download and I looked it up. Seemed OK until I tried to check whether it was a safe site. The reply came back from security companies saying several threats had been found attached to it. I feel frustrated because I would like other people (besides my husband) to hear some of my renditions, but I feel stuck! I don't have a mobile so cannot record that way, so any advice you can give would be much appreciated. Bye for now, and take care.

I am a lyrical soprano and singing in church choirs simply developed a powerful head voice only. In the past, I could not sing this song correctly cause I lacked a powerful mixed chest. Below middle C my voice was weak. Only after hiring a voice coach for two years I lower my range to G3. What Whitney master is the beautiful and soulful lower tones. I love to sing those songs that required a mixed and beautiful chest voice. this one is my favorite.
