You should keep your senses sharp for such nuanced, clever stuff in Malayalam movies. Watch the Nivin Pauly comedy movie "Kanakam Kamini Kalaham" which is a spoof on Malayalam movies and Kerala society in general... with layers of wit that is revealed through repeated viewing!!! 😄😁

Back in Kerala, lots of my friends are Konkanis (GSB community people who settled in Kerala during the Portuguese inquisition). 😄 SO I can understand a bit of Konkani and Marathi.
