Houdini is incredibly powerful and painful to learn, because his procedures are totally different from 3D standards, the control of all geometry and the ability to modify anything from any state in the process is overwhelming. It is certainly a 3D software work of art.
Bruh its just images stacked with a distance inbetween, to give dept illusions, its common in games cuz games are real time and can't handle simulation real time...🤘🏻
Houdini is my fav cuz it gives full control to each and every parameter and settings. Unfortunately people made it notorious by saying it is hard but it's upto you how much u want to go deep in. It's amazing when u can control a particular point among billions just with a piece of code. And people who think blender is anyway near to Houdini, they r comparing sun to a light bulb😂
@InspirationTuts, I started to learn Blender I found it not easy or the UI is difficult. Then I switch to Houdini found it easier (maybe I am wrong) I contact Houdini support if it has physics formulas. I mean do fallen objects follow gravity law. They said no, but I can add formulas as I check. In real-world Houdini is difficult but maybe it has the capability. I watch your videos about Blender vs 3D max and Maya. Maybe for me Blender still slightly better. But since I am starting to adopt a final software to learn, which one is better in since of easier UI, and more real as follows rules or laws of physics and finally which has more library to select for more effect?
When getting started with visual effects at home, which is better, an Imac or windows based system? And which models and programs are used besides Houdini?
Oh boy...... you don't know what you're diving into. Start with blender if you can't afford any other software that's the best opportunity to get a bit into node based working. Also it's definitely not easy to get learning access to houdini but you can start on your own with a free students license. Houdini is such an overwhelming software including a very big part of coding like python or vex. If you really want to start from scratch, good luck.....but in my opinion you got nearly no chance to get into it in under 6 years.
@@hermasadrianfttf9986 I'm using Cinema 4D by myself for 6 years now and it's kind of my little hometown, for me it just feels great and I know what to do with it. But you need to clarify that you're a real student to get the license or you have to buy it for 120$/month or 3364$ once which is like twice the price you have to pay for houdini.

You crazy . Houdini is the hardest software in the world more than 1M nodes ... Blender is nothing compared with Houdini . You should also learn paython if you want to learn houdini
Python isn’t necessary for beginners, or even fairly competent Houdini users. It has its uses in certain areas, but shouldn’t be put above learning vex. Learn vex before you start exploring the uses of python.
@Glizzster 多 Not just mathematics, you also need a solid knowledge of physics if you want to learn fx , the same thing for rigging it's a very technical process but you can learn sculpting, modeling or animating ... a lot does not require mathematics In my opinion, no one is born bad at math just go for what you want
Why would he compare a paid software with consistent support and massive scientific and technological achievements to a freeware? Is this a joke? Its like comparing an alien spacecraft to your kid's bicycle.
Blender, Houdini, 3D Max, Maya, Cinema 4D etc's all depend on the users and dedication in making the tools of these programs work. None of them will work to their full potential unless they're utilized properly. Its not the "name" its who's behind using the program software and bringing out its fullest potential that truly counts at the end of the day.

@@kunemann I mean, it is the industry standard though... Being industry standard means more than just features, it means the overwhelming majority of professional artists know and use Maya for Animation/VFX work. It means VFX houses have years and years of pipeline development and add ons for Maya. It means Maya is ingrained in the industry, I'm not necessarily making a good/bad argument I'm just saying how it is. That's a standard that won't change overnight. Every year Blender fans have claimed that Blender will be the industry standard in 5 years. Seems like it's always 5 years away. I don't know if people know this, but Maya is pretty disliked among professionals for a lot of reasons, the thing is no other software has really given a good enough reason to make a switch, except for Houdini. But if I had to bet on whether Houdini or Blender would eclipse Maya as the catch all VFX software in 5 years, I would bet my life savings on Houdini every time.
