That is totally awesome. I would go for one of those any day. By virtue of the process each one has to be totally original and one off. It even makes them sound better too (because I buy with my eyes!).
I love this! I probably don’t have the bucks for this, but it’s a really great thing to do with a refin player. Needs to stay a player, should be on stage.
I remember seeing some of the Ibanez guitar artwork. Pretty cool to hear some of the back story. Killer playing and sounding guitar as always! I could see Zach Person rocking this!
I like how it in some ways feels like an homage to tie die and victorian era marbled paper (which would be a very interesting color scheme to see him take inspo for too if y'all need classy vintage ideas that are still a lil crazy), although now I want to see if there's a way to transfer tie die to a guitar directly as that'd also be fun. Love that he's doing it, I think it helps expand what guitars can be, and as he says, it's already refinished. The original paint isn't getting back on there, so do something interesting!
Many years ago, 40 maybe 50 years in the rearview the amazing folks at the Colonial Williamsburg printer shop would use a waterborne Ink technique to decorate the inner sleeves and bindings of books. It was a beautiful effect and looks very similar to the one on your Stratocaster there. On our most recent trip to CW I was disappointed to find they no longer employ that technique as it is not analogous to the time period they interpret. Shame that! Cheers and well-done as always
That is fantastic. I love it once a Vintage Guitar is refinished that’s what the value is. If anything this finish has increased the value 20 to 30% over a standard refinished job. I love it.
My opinion means nothing of course but I`ll still put it out there, just to piss people off sometimes. So here it is: Unlike on how children were to behave in olden times, to be seen and not heard. Guitar should be heard and not seen. What a guitar looks like doesnt matter one bit. It`s sole purpose is, how does it sound and can you play it and make me like it?
I’d have one for sure Have a master built heavy relic and 2 CS relic , I’m in that camp. Coming from a tattoo background I’d say if I got to choose I’d ask for a less hectic swirl Same concept but upscale if that was even possible. As in the details would be bigger. The swirls not as sqiggly, like the tie dye cushion the guy had in the clip. Strats are a complete bs rip off in Australia The adds always say “as far as I know “ They are never original And for some reason they even re fin the refinished and add some “boutique “ luthiers name ,like some badge of honour 😂 it’s a complete Wayne Kk And if you don’t know that’s why CS , MB are awesome. They look correct and you can’t buy original finish anymore, anywhere.
You know, in all these years this is the first time someone has sent iOS HDR footage so I've not encountered this before, good to know. Thanks! It appears completely normal on my end before upload. -Ken
Well it looks good but on a 65 strat? Really? How many times have we heard ' oh look at this battered finish there's so much history here'. But if your refinishing these great old strats with all this history then that history is gone for good? Fender has a whole team of people smashing up guitar finishes to look like these old strats that your repainting 😂.
I'm definitely in the "not for me" camp, but I'm also in the "I'm glad guitars like this exist" camp.
Wow that is incredible, and with the strat masters playing I bet that guitar is living its best life ever!
that guitar looks exactly like if hydro-dipping or swirl finishes were made in the late 60's, gorgeous
Perfect! 1965 and psychedelic. I'd buy one, if I could afford it. ☮

I absolutely love it. Beautiful combination of colors
I love this! Any chance you guys would consider an “affordable” line of these for us mere mortals?! 😉😂🤘🏻🎸😎
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this is That’s fn awesome👍 Aaron is killing it as always, enjoyed this👍👍👍
Love it! Makes me wish David would paint up some more affordable American Vintage or CS versions
Wow. Those colors are perfect. Very cool to hear from David, too.
Love it!! Well done and all the better it’s vintage.
Amazing Aaron, as always. Incredible.
I think it's brilliant; well done you! Wish I had some spare coin laying around!
Very very cool. Nod to the vibe of the era it was born in. Love it
That looks awesome, if I had the money I would buy it right now ❤
those look fantastic. really cool
It’s a vibe
Nice!
Effing cool! 😎
Love it!

I could see Zach Person rocking this!
Keep it up, that strategy is gorgeous.
Cool AF! And bound to appreciate in value. Aaron rocks! (as usual) but it woulda been better through a Vibrolux….
SICK AF!
Can't afford it though because I am blue collar, but definitely cool.
I like it a lot

I was thinking of philip sayce when I first saw the strat
Yep love it. Hendrix would have had one 😀 It's a step up from a Rocky too
❤ wow ❤
Is it going to be on your site?
In the thumbnail, I thought lame...but its actually pretty cool as i watched the video.
You didn’t show the guitar before the new refin! We need to see that! You’re making it impossible for the layman to get a vintage instrument!😢
How much for this if it is still available?
Sweet

David Bond Villain? 😂 Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
hendrix would have loved that finish
Just refin a new one
Come rendere un pezzotto un pezzo da collezione.
Definitely a thing.
ooof
There's such a combination of too much money meeting boredom. That's how you get things like this.
yeah ok but not on a '65

Weird. Not a fan 😂
Also I think you forgot to apply the HDR compensation tool in your editor. Dude man is completely blown out.

I like it! Totally-Awesome' like Jesus/YESHUA... GLORY... John 3:16💗👆... Love Bob Rutkowski 💟🕊️
Oh, hell no.
Hideous, but my opinion, not my guitar. I respect it’s your choice with your gear.
I like it, but would prefer a replacement body or a 1970 body.
It's not growing on me. Hang on...nope. Great property though!
Yuk
I love your shop and videos, but that is hideous.
It was such a beautifully aged lacquer. 😭
The hear snobs gonne be sending death threats bro.
