Much respect for you guys that are highly skilled in the trade as you are. You braze a lot in your videos. I see others using this Staybrite 8 solder instead. What are your thoughts about the Staybrite 8? Is it as good as brazing?
I appreciate that. I’ve never actually used it. I’ve seen Mikey Pipes and his guys use it in some of his videos but I believe they stopped using it. I’ve heard good and bad but I have no experience with it. Plus I’m a whole lot better with braze than I am with soldering anyway. 🤙
My ac compressor and condenser have no refrigerant, so I need to do a pressure test on the whole system. Can I open the service hi and lo valves so the nitrogen can go thru both the compressor and condenser or should only the evaporator and its lines be checked? Same question to do a vacuum test? All the system or just the evaporator side?
Bristol went out of business in 2018 but York probably had a decent stock pile of them and most likely used them well into 2019. But no they made many different refrigerant types of compressors
If you were to have damaged that coil getting it up there by yourself, is that on your dime? I think I would’ve probably waited for help. Then again time is money nice job as always.
Yea it would have been my fault. I was being dramatic. If I thought for a second I would have damaged it, I would have waited. It literally only weighed like 15 lbs.
Tech tip 😊 sand paper the copper pipe before cutting and then you’ll be ready to braze.
Too bad you’re helper wasn’t there 😮nice work 😊
Thanks brother!
Great video. Thank you for sharing
I really enjoy watching the repairs on light commercial stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!

Right there
Great effort and good job on coil replacement enjoyed the video thanks again
Thanks
Nice job 👍
Thanks 🤙
Thanks for bringing us along Jeff. Nice work. Are bi directional flow dryers any more expensive than single direction dryers?
Yea they are a little more expensive.

If you have a leak you should nitrogen test the whole system and then vacuum the whole system.
Hey!!
I have the same problem in my store wats the estimate for this job with changin the coil and labor??
Every demographic is different but if your shop was on the eastern shore of MD you would be in the ball park of $5-6k
What’s up with that unit having Bristol compressors I thought they are only for 22 and were discontinued

@@JeffsHVACAdventures well that would make sense that they would have a stock pile of them because you can still get them on liquidation websites

Ahhh, but engineers know best! Lol
Yup!
How do you like ameristar equipment?
Solid piece of equipment.
@JeffsHVACAdventures do you push that, or is it just a budget type deal
@@TX-EddyHVAC dont really push it unless the job specs it. Just had an extra sticker so I put it in the collection.
What's so "special" about the building that they won't allow you to put an extension ladder up for 15 minutes?? Sheesh.
Tell me about it! It’s an outlet shopping center and I’ve found most outlet shopping centers I’ve worked at have this policy. 🤷♂️
